I don't use a top sheet! (I'm 33) my husband and I both move in our sleep a lot and it would always get kicked down to the foot of the bed, so we just stopped putting it on about 10 years ago. We do wash our sheets/comforter more often though

I don't use a top sheet sometimes because I have to burrito up in my blanket (I guess it's a sensory thing). Also Texas is really hot 😅 so sometimes we only sleep with a top sheet.

TOP SHEETS ARE THE DEVIL! They get all twisted and tangled and create a bunched-up mess. Plus, if you use a duvet cover on your comforter (I do) then you can wash that as easily as you would a top sheet and there goes Madlyn's Alphi Pi homemaker logic...

Ha ha - true! I will confess that in warmer months I just use a thin comforter *sans* duvet or top sheet. Super easy to throw it in the wash. Even if it wasn't, I still would not be using a top sheet! I AM A SAVAGE!!

I never, ever use a top sheet!! It makes me feel like my legs and feet are trapped. (LOL and I’m not young, I’m 39.) I have a duvet cover over my down comforter though; I wash it frequently like I would wash a sheet. LOL maybe you mention that on the podcast… I’m sorry, I haven’t listened yet, but I have very strong personal anti-top sheet feelings and had to say something 😂

OMG I remember when I was in college and in my 20s, guys would just have a comforter and no top sheet! Now I am personally anti-top sheet, but I have a duvet cover that I wash. These guys just had like a straight up comforter that they never washed… not into that lol

I think top sheets and comforters are a US thing because I’ve only ever seen them there. In much of the world they use duvets, essentially sheets that go over your comforter and there is no need for a top sheet because you just take the duvet cover off to wash it.

@Christy- on the flip side, making your bed with a top sheet is harder. The duvet is easier. You just throw it over the bed and smooth it out.

No top sheet??? What??? Y’all just keep your feet exposed while sleeping? What if something just grabs your toes while you’re sleeping?? Lol, this makes me anxious just thinking about it. Another Sigma Nu reference and I’m here for it. It is so on point. Madlyn fits that stereotype with every fiber of her being. Her annoying voice and incorrect voice inflection, the clothes she wears, and her behavior are 🎯 . Ohhh, I can’t wait for y’all to finish this season!!! April does show great change and she is good TV.

This isn't spoiler info, but for later episodes - the bars stop serving at 2 am in Austin, so that's usually when they close. Some stay open a bit longer but don't serve (and typically you know the staff is why you're allowed to stay); but the majority of bars shut it down by 2 am.

Fuuuuuck that biological clock! Had my tubes removed so I would never have to deal with kids. I like kids, don’t get me wrong, love being an aunt! But I love sending them home to their families when they get cranky and we have a nice quiet house again.

I don’t use a top sheet either! I usually use the top sheet as fabric for sewing :) I also can’t sleep without socks on which I’ve heard is also unusual?

you all must be young!! when you hit menopause, that duvet is the devil! You need something light. I've got top sheet, light cotton blanket and duvet cover with no duvet insert. hahaha

Top sheets are supposed to be used w comforters because you don’t wash that frequently, you technically don’t need one when you use a duvet w a duvet cover as you wash that weekly. My ex was 7 years a younger than me and this blew his mind. I’m a millennial and I use a top sheet and duvet cover because that’s how my grandma taught me and I already have one so might as well! Plus I like matching stuff 💅🏽
