The push was definitely staged in my opinion BUT re-watch and you can see part of the push in the window reflection. Something about it is off though, as if it’s literally choreographed.

The push was so fake. They were all laughing. When she is wrapping her mother in a towel and she is "crying " then the husband runs out saying enough. They were all laughing. It is annoying that they are on the show playing games and faking it.

The most concrete factor of "the push was fake" besides the obvious laughing was that her towel was perfectly coordinated with everyone's outfit. It didn't even look like a regular towel, it looked like some high quality knit small quilt of a towel. It was definitely picked out ahead of time and brought in a bag. Husband Mary hates everything about summer too. It was a huge personal sacrifice getting him to walk around the Riverside area of Austin in July for y'all 😂😂😂

There's no way Dawn is that clueless as to assume the stepmom wants to host her. That said I think the stepmom needed to have a softer conversation with Dawn, but I'm sure she's pretty fed up. I do have to agree it seems silly to buy a house if you're not sure you will be there longer than a year.
