Totally agree with Poodle. My siblings and I had gotten my mother tickets to see Josh Groban at Radio City pre COVID. The show was rescheduled several times and we finally saw it in April. I looked over during the show at my mother and she was on her fucking cell phone. I was so pissed because we had waited almost three years to see this, paid a lot of money, and you are on fucking Facebook! Cant you just enjoy what you are doing and not make a stupid fucking Facebook post about it? For the record, I am 34 so this rant is not from and old person.

I know nothing about Broadway and I LOVE these segments. It's like hearing Mattie's cute stories of his past (especially his dad, those crack me up), a cute break from talking about some of these hot messes! Poodle you hit all the spots where things were getting really muddy.

I was front row in your first Chicago show( with mother-in-law!) and I never would have taken a picture during the show… so disrespectful! One last thing I just remembered…. When we went to Book of Mormon, an older lady in front of us was texting someone about all the swearing…..🤨**** her!!! ❤️👍

Omg at the same Xmas show I wrote to Matty about with Trace Adkins (Where a lady next to us screamed “TAKE YOUR PANTS OFF!” while he was singing about baby Jesus in the manger), there was a girl in the front row. FRONT AND CENTER 10 feet from him on her phone the entire time, head leaning down like Nikkel and just oblivious. After 2 drinks I told my friend I was going to march down there and give her shit about it but she didn’t let me. I regret it to this day. At my Miami theater where I see live productions, the ushers are at the ends of every 3 rows or so. If you dare pull out a phone they shine a laser pointer right at the screen so you can’t even see it and when you look to see the source of the light, they all scowl at you and motion to put it away. No one pulls out phones more than once. I LOVE it.

I was just at a Weird Al show (my fav) second row center. The assholes in front of us were late and missed the heartfelt plea to please not take photos or video during the show, as it’s so distracting to the people around you. So these idiots show up and of course he is holding his stupid phone out right in ALs face taking video. After 2 songs I tapped him and said “you were late so you missed it but they asked the audience not to do that. That’s why no one else is”. And he put that shit away

Oh THANK YOU. It’s also terrible for audience members sitting near the person. The light is so bright in the dark. I always very politely ask people to put their phones away if it’s happening near me.
