The groundhog seeing their shadow = winter makes ZERO sense to me, but here’s some trivia: Feb 1-2 is actually the ancient pagan holiday of Imbolc. Imbolc celebrates beginning of Spring because in exactly six weeks it will be the Spring Equinox. The days will be longer - and as someone who has been driving to work in the dark and leaving in the dark I’m STOKED. So the groundhog thing about six more weeks of winter makes sense but him seeing his shadow has never made any sense to me unless it’s something about the days getting longer. ?? 😱 This is something I’ve been thinking about and it’s bothered me for two weeks now. I had to stop the podcast and unload. You’re welcome.

I am hesitant to jump to conclusions. Just because they didn't talk about the fire doesn't mean she started it. If anything, writing comments like this spread stigma towards people with severe mental health issues who do try their best in life. Yet so many are blamed for every little thing that happens in their life. It becomes really hard to seek help when they face some regular hardship (that can happen to anyone) because society's response is "Well you probably started the fire so we won't help you. You probably set him off and his reaction is his fault. You're probably short on cash because people like you could never handle money correctly."
