Steven is scary. His words and behaviors are a giant red flag for abuse. The way he barks at her, the way he orders her around, the way he tells her what she WILL do and what she WON'T do. I wanted Olga to run back when I first saw this season, and I still want her to run now.

Grew up in Michigan eating lasagna made with cottage cheese. Didn’t even know ricotta was a thing until college. To me they are both delicious though a *whole fat* cottage cheese with the tangy sauce is really unbeatable! I’m hoping for a Mattie’s Lasagna Corner with his aunt’s recipe soon! 🤗

Ha! Interesting, I live in Canada near Michigan but my mom's family is from Michigan and cottage cheese lasagna is all I knew for quite some time. Both are good but I have a soft spot for cottage cheese.

I have never had lasagna with cottage cheese or ricotta. My family has always used parmesan, mozzarella and provolone. My family is half southern KY, half southern OH.

I feel like this episode was giving too much grace to Steven. His treatment of Olga would be unacceptable under normal circumstances, but it is chilling that this is how he treats her right after giving birth. I think we have to be careful where we draw the line between being empathetic about Steven’s past and making excuses for his current behavior.

I'm so glad you called out Kalani's privilege! I love her, but yes I always felt that way watching these seasons. Compared to Steven and Olga who had almost nothing at least she has a house to go to that she doesn't have to pay rent and she has help with the kids from her mom and sister
