Omg Poodle with the Vili Fualaau reference 💀 I got a bad haircut a couple months ago and told everyone I was given the "Mary Kay Letourneau" and they all looked at me like I was insane.

Deniz Daser

Yeah, as a Turk I have to say that Poodle’s friend is right. That was some terrible belly dancing.

Jose might be more devious than we think. He might speak way more English than he wants to show, he could be laughing at her behind her back. Getting International TV time, etc. This may be the work of a low key sociopath. Yes, I read the book.

Carey Addis

They had that baby so they could have a little translator in the house.

I was watching this wondering if he felt not only like this was appropriation but that she was degrading the culture in a way? I felt for him and thought he was not only offended for his culture as well as his relationship?

As a bitch who’s read Valley of the Dolls a shameful number of times, I’m struck more and more each episode that José may be the Colombian Tony Polar, using his virility and musical persona to mask the fact that he’s developmentally a six-year-old. In this adaptation, the role of Tony’s sister Miriam is being played by Jesse, though I doubt he’ll succeed in convincing Louise to reconsider her pregnancy.

British Eeyore is spot on 💀

Y’all no one who’s even taking an A1 English test should be concerned about not passing. 😂 It’s that easy. Also to clarify, A1 is a ranking of language comprehension, not the type of visa. B1 is intermediate and is required for most countries’ citizenship/visa applications in Europe & Asia (at least). British green card is called an ILR, indefinite leave to remain, (which grammatically makes no sense to me 😀) You can apply after 3-5 years of living there depending on your situation. They use a point system (language fluency, education, job experience, financial viability etc). For the most part their system is the same as ours except some commonwealth adjacent policies that we obviously don’t have. For example current and former commonwealth countries tend to have more options to enter and stay. It’s equally as hard to get in too. I have several American friends who completed masters degrees at some of the top schools and STILL can’t reach the points required. Then there’s the golden visa, also. It’s given to those to invest several millions of pounds. So basically, if you’re wealthy enough in other words you can essentially buy your way in. Or you have competency visas too which are for people in areas like STEM who have exceptional and irreplaceable talent. We also have that in the US.

I just can’t get past the hair and his immaturity. It triggers me so bad and really ramps my anxiety!!!

"Leave" in ILR is a synonym for "permission", so it literally means you have permission to remain in the county indefinitely (unlike with the prior visas that have a time limit). It can take up to 10 years, though I think 5 is the most common. The thing I worry about with a lot of the people on all the 90-day shows is how they're going to afford these visas. Each one costs thousands of pounds/dollars and you have to show you make enough money to support your spouse for at least the term of the first of several visas. How is Louise going to support José when she doesn't even have a job (IIRC)? Something like 40% of people in the UK wouldn't be eligible to sponsor a family member for a visa based on their income, and I imagine the percentage is similar in the US.

I know what it means it just seems illogical when literally every Schengen country just uses the word permanent vs. temporary. But that’s very on Brexit brand 😂 or perhaps just a testament to ‘Englishness.’ So I suppose ‘grammatically’ wasn’t the right word, more meant ‘logically’. Yeah I agree though. It’s seriously unfathomable how that’s going to work out. I mean nearly everyone this season I think your perspective applies. And yes I am absolutely certain most Americans wouldn’t qualify either.

Heidi

I remember going to a Moroccan restaurant in Dallas years ago and the belly dancing was amazing. This wasn't that.

Heidi

Stop.. the chicken Jenny voice makes my corgis go apeshit. Running around and looking for the chickens we no longer have. Every time.

Jen

POODLE- you must give us a Big Brother Corner!!!! I have to know your feelings on Hisam!!!! Daddy is drunk with power and I am loving it!!!👀👀

Kay

Please note: The A1 and A2 visa are related to diplomats and certain foreign dignitaries and their dependents (it’s for the US), and the A1 English test is simply for the purpose of English comprehension at a very basic level. TINFOIL MOMENT: I really think that he may understand more than the edits, and he just may not want to leave Colombia after meeting her and he’s scamming his way out of staying in the UK.

I’m a former belly dancer and I was disgusted watching this! Belly dancing is a beautiful art—not a strip show. I’ve performed in restaurants and yes tips are accepted but no one sticks money in your boobs and you’re not degraded. It’s a sensual dance nothing sexual about it. I’ve been in a performance and a man kept yelling really gross perverse things and he was removed. She also is a horrible dancer but racism is real in belly dance! Restaurants/events often prefer to hire White girls with the stereotypical blond hair/blue eye look—no matter how good or bad they are.

Nikki

Poods! You are very much 100% right that Louise, the queen of bad decisions has more children! I was told she has 1 maybe 2 daughters but the father doesn’t want them filmed!

Michelle S

To add to - not correct - what you’ve shared: UK sponsors in receipt of disability benefit (PIP) don’t have to meet the minimum income threshold. Jose would have to live in the UK continuously for 5 years on a spousal visa (which he has a 1 in 4 chance of being denied) before he can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain. Five years is a looooong time 🫠…
