I was a pissed off 3yr old when my parents told me. My mom was so worried about how angry i was, she cried on the way to the hospital. They tried to butter me up with a present when it was time to meet him, i took the present and and walked out of the room lol.

My husband (Indian) and I (American) felt pretty bad for Kimberly. We both agreed that a partner needs to provide information about their own culture. Their communication isn’t great. I think you maybe have to experience a cross cultural relationship like this to understand. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I can only speak to my experience, but being with my wonderful fiancé from Türkiye has given me a thicker skin. He’s very blunt, and since English isn’t his first language, very literal in translation. I’ve had a few hurt feelings by his words, but after communicating his true meaning, it was just lost in translation. So yes, Sarper is very Toy Story plastic army man, but possibly some things he says could be cultural. Great to watch the train wreck!

My ex's mom was Turkish she married her sister's husband after divorcing his dad. For the first 5 years of their marriage his dad was sleeping with her sister. He was Lebanese though. The sister dumped my ex in a river in Lebanon when he was 6 months old. That may be just a one-off they were like a Arab soap opera 😂

I wholeheartedly support the Little Poodle book series as a serious artistic business venture! Poodle- start jotting down some of the short story ideas in one spot now, even if you’re not actively looking into publishing and illustrators right now. This feels like gold! It would be a shame if it never came to fruition. I did a quick google search for anything similar and all I found was a book called ‘Rainbow Boy’ (about a little boy who just can’t choose a favorite color). The children’s literature market is definitely lacking in books for sassy little future queens. 👏
