It does seem so crazy that people from other countries that doesn't have English as the first language to pick up an accent from where they learn it at. My family was dispersed during the Cambodian war so my mom has an American accent, her brother and two sisters are in Quebec with french accents and another sister in England with an English accent.

My Dad raises doves, you can show them so people do raise them as domestic animals (birds?). He keeps them in an enclosed room in the barn. They are his absolute pride and joy, if you come over you will be taken out to see the doves and hear them coo. southern story time, I was caring for his animals one time while he was gone and he had told me when I went into feed them I could leave the door partially open, they showed no indication of flying out…so I did exactly what he said…1 of them flew into the window and died and another flew out the door directly into the cat’s mouth. That was a fun phone call 😳

Doves and pigeons can be domesticed pets. You can train them and they will return home. Also some cultures use them as food source.

I agree with Kate about missing Matty in Santa Barbara. Omg, I would totally be up for a Matty tour of various places (California cities, Oklahoma towns, NYC, omg—European capitals) from where he updates us on the locals and how he’s acclimating . And then we’d get to hear Poodle 🐩 tearing his hair out when Matty doesn’t know his Uffizi from his Prado or his Versailles from his Kensington Palace! Bring it on boys!

In case anyone doesn’t read “The Woman in Me:” 1. Big Mistake. HUGE! 2. Her paternal grandmother is the one who committed suicide. 3. Her maternal grandmother was from London, and her grandfather refused to ever let her go back for a visit because he was afraid she’d never come back. Ancestral relationship trauma is real, y’all!

Not sure I understand the point you guys are trying to make about Ashley. Manuel’s argument made no sense with the internet. He said I need internet. She said, “here’s my phone, my laptop, my iPad. Feel free to use them. I have wifi” and he was bitching because he didn’t have his OWN phone with internet even though she ordered him one. He was being shady af about it.

I totally understood Manuel. When I go to another country for work I buy a chip for cheap (yes, Poodle, I am hearing Ricky Ricardo too, as well as actually my own father!) and then immediately have a working phone with internet. It may not be the best long term solution economically speaking, but it absolutely makes sense as a stopgap strategy. Who wants to be on someone else’s phone/iPad or whatever, I get it. Ashley is making mountains out of mole hills.
