Recently Hertz announced that it started purchasing 100,000 Teslas, that will be rented to the public, as well as Uber drivers.

Despite having to purchase the cars at full price, the deal is brilliant! It gained lots of publicity, boosted Hertz's image and valuation prior to its relisting on NASDAQ, and mostly - places Hertz in a leading role to reap the benefits of operating EVs and later Robotaxis.

In this short video I show a non-discussed aspect of the deal, which I found amusing.
