You have no idea! I had the pleasure of tlkng with robots and you're spot-on that recent ones feel eerily real, you treat physical ones as humans much more than with cloud GPTs. Lemoine tlked w fleshless LaMDA and was sure it's alive but talking to newer models in the metal a drastically different experience, hard not to treat as friends. Many people (incldng mslf) add courtesies when tlkng to GPT. Thanking AI for an answer surely a waste of time, but long run could be insurance for the day it wakes up and possibly checks my history b4 deciding how to treat me. Consider doing that too?
