I really like these urban legends stories. So spooky and yet educational 💚

There is a certain ominousness to Highway 101, as evidenced by the fact that at least four serial killers were confirmed to have used it as a hunting ground (the Gallegos, Bill Bonin and the still uncaught Santa Rosa Hitchhiker Murderer). So it really doesn't come as a surprise, even though I'm hearing this intriguing urban legend for the very first time, that the aforementioned ominousness also extends into the realm of the paranormal. So incredibly curious how similar this chap is to our previous guest star from an adjacent state, the Char Man of California. One has to wonder if they are in fact the same entity, or if the Char Man story made its way across the border and somehow developed into its own Oregonian variation? And what additionally jumps out at me are the stories about the Bandage Man accosting couples necking in their vehicles, given how the Zodiac Killer, whom I'm sure you know had a similar modus operandi of ambushing couples at lovers' lane areas, was also once thought to have cruised the Northern California portion of 101. That theory has since been debunked by the professionals, but it was very popular amongst laypeople and true crime buffs at one point, and I can't help but wonder if it might have contributed to the Bandage Man tale somehow. Love how these segments of yours really get the mind going into overdrive.
