One of the most compelling urban legends - if not THE most - simply because there is actual physical evidence associated with it (the hatchet, which I found out really exists and is still in Bob and Dusty Bennett's possession), and because the Bennetts come across as very credible witnesses (there is an excellent interview with them from 2005 that I've posted on the Discord just in case you or anybody else is interested). No doubt there was a very disturbed and dangerous individual prowling the Guinea Road area during October of 1970, although what his motivations were are still anybody's guess. Especially his reasons for wearing that damn costume lol. Now I've got the Donnie Darko soundtrack playing in my head...
