The legend of the Night Marchers is arguably the most dreaded one from any American state on account of how relentless and unforgiving these formidable entities are - they very much feel like a force of nature that can only be avoided and not stood up to. Kaena Point and Halape are a couple of locations where they are said to frequently appear (descending the mountainside and heading for the sea is apparently their typical routine) and I remember taking sacrosanct care to not linger at either location for very long even during the daytime despite how beautiful the scenery was lol.
