I've always been a sweet girl who likes to see the bright side of things, fitting into stereotypes I never felt comfortable with. Searching for a Caribbean figure—slender and beautiful—I didn't understand that I could only be that way by being myself, even with a few extra pounds. I feel loved, accepted, and sometimes even adored for what I do and who I am, and I love that feeling, even if it's on my own small scale.
