Once you take a good look at the three choices, please think very carefully about what you'd like to see or what would feel best to you, and then let me know here by voting.  Feel free to ask questions here or in Discord before voting as well, and thank you!

I'm with Mr. Widnall and the others. (Option 1) I like the idea of the currently not used UI objects being hidden! It'd be a shame not to see her and other images in full view though. I know you already opted for these three with your dev, but if you don't mind me suggesting something which is doable in Ren'Py. When the scene which wouldn't fit a full screen(high res. version) could be shown for a few seconds then the story mode continues as in Option 1. This should perhaps have the option for the full screen to be cancelled on mouse or key press (for the impatient player/reader)

Reminder to everyone that Renpy allows hiding the dialogue box, and a reminder to Anax that if part of the image will be behind the dialogue box to take that into account when blocking the scenes so people shouldn't *have* to hide the text for it to look right; the part behind the text should be a 'bonus', like a better view of the characters' legs, in for example a closeup of a character's face that should be framed above the text.

Thanks! I think that the vast majority of the time, they will be ok (certainly on new renders going forward), and will try to keep it in mind, but I will set the expectation that I will do whatever I think works best artistically on a render as well, and in those cases, the folks can hide the text to soak in the art. Conversely, though I have not announced it, Mars and I are in talks to see if we can give all three options to players and allow them to choose the layout they like best. In any case, I appreciate the feedback and advice!
