Its going to take some time for her to chill and acclimate to your home. Kinda gotta look at things from her POV and it might help. Is she really just clinging to you or does she play abd stuff? I've had fosters that cling to me or my aunt and refuse to do anything else

Nessica

This ex needs to leave Evan alone. YOU ARE NOT WANTED YA CREEP >:( ... 😅🤣 Congrats on the kitty! Hope you enjoy all the love and snuggle! 🥰🥰🥰

Lisa

Aww I have two new kittens too. Remember you’ve replaced her mother and so she will cling to you until she becomes more independent. Give her plenty of toys and stimuli to keep her entertained and to help hone her skills. 🐱

asdfkjdshfkjs talk to your boy, Evan,,, TwT' Gosh I love 'em though, they're so darn cute even just having a phone conversation OTL No advice on the kitty though, especially if it's a kitten--they're wild and rambunctious! Hope she lets you get the sleep you need soon :'D

We have automatic laser pointers from Amazon. Best purchase ever. Wears out the cats so they mostly let us sleep. They also love cardboard scratchers with catnip. My real secret trick, though, are fuzzy blankets. I have literally 10 fuzzy blankets that are cat magnets to give them something to do while I'm in meetings. (I share 900 square feet with a spouse and 3 cats who hate each other. We have both been working from home since early 2020. I have many tricks.)

OMG CONGRATULATIONS ON THE KITTY!!!!! ENJOY!!!!!!

Catnip spray can attract cats to scratching posts *if they have their claws* and can make them hyper and its kinda funny to watch

Awww, cuuuuute!! 😍 I have a little dog named Luna. What color(s) fur does your Luna have? My Luna is black and white. I’m sooooo curious on what happened with the ex and Marcus, what is it that he feels guilty about, and what they’re hiding from each other. I mean I know that things have sort of (not really) been explained, but I really wanna see/hear the complete back story. I’m super curious about that actually. Will you be creating/telling the story of what happened with Evan and his ex, and how/why Marcus knows about it/was involved? Lastly, how is your mouth adjusting to the braces? Are you still in pain? One tip that I have for you, when I had braces, every time I went to get my wires changed/adjusted, I would take either Tylenol/Acetaminophen, Motrin/Ibuprofen, or both 30 minutes before my appointment to get ahead of any pain there might be because of the adjustment. It really helps. The one time my mom forgot was the worst pain I’d had due to the adjustment. I was literally laying on the floor crying in the fetal position, because I was in soooo much pain. I hope it helps you for the future. 😉

It would have been funny if her name was mimi 😂 ( I saw your cat on your Instagram and she is so CUTE!!)

Alex

That blushing is just 🥰 and congrats on kitty!

Oooooh Evan, what are you thinkin?? I am known as the cat whisperer at my job (I work with horses and feral cats 💖) and am a bit of a fanatic lol if you have any questions I'd be happy to help! I would recommend treat training (or clicker training) when they're young, it makes a world of a difference as they grow, gives them a clear 'right' or 'wrong' response from their owner that they can understand. It's pretty cool.

That’s so cute!! (Both Evan and Mark, and your kitten! 😍) About the sleep, one thing that helped my cat with separation anxiety (from his brothers and mother) was putting fluffy and cuddly stuffed animals in his bed so he could cuddle with them to sleep. 🥰

Some cats are just super clingy and you have to be firm with them. Make sure they dont think you're trying to play when you are actually disciplining them! Otherwise, it's just about getting used to them and you remembering that (as someone else has said) you are replacing her mother, it might help to read up on cat behavior to learn their language so to speak if this is the first cat you've owned

Christina Hagan

Congrats on serving your new overlord. Your training will commence immediately. I recommend following all of the fully rulers orders.

Make sure she has a warming pad in her bed~ cats are comfortable at higher temps than we are; when we're comfy, they're usually cold!

binguslobo

So cute!! Does she sleep in your room? It may calm her to be near you which may make her less clingy... That is what happened to my cat anyway

We just got 2 last week! They’re 8 weeks old (9 weeks now) we have a separate sleeping quarters for them! Our guest bath and laundry room, so they’re in there at night. Litter box in the bathroom, and a wire crate with a cat bed and some blankets in the laundry room.

Mine wasn’t a kitty, she was 3 years old when I got her from the pound. She was so small I thought she was a “little” cat but as it turns out, she was just really malnourished. Her history stated she was abandoned by her second owner, who had her for only 3 months. Her first owner was a friend of the second and had declawed her, but still gave her away. It was honestly about 3 months in and I felt that she finally understood she wasn’t leaving us. That she was in her forever home. Now it’s been over a year and it’s crazy to think how different she was when she first came home. Yours will settle in and pick up on the energy in your home. You’ll “sync” up. I also highly recommend a laser pointer.

I have to just say i LOVE your art! I had started reading EOM last year but had to stop financially, i am so glad to re read all of your chapters and continue reading. Sadly i cannot do the tier i want monthly but will certainly do it occasionally when possible :) i hope you have been well and safe this year

Reesie

Yes, when they are young, they need and desire companionship since they are away from the litter. That is why I have 2 cats so they can keep each other company. I have a 7 yr old named Li'l and a 2 yr old named Shiro. Large super soft blankets are a great idea. The laser pointer also a God send. They love spaces that they can climb into and hide from time to time. My cat is obsessed with boxes.. Don't matter the size.. A kitty condo may do wonders for the scratching and climbing desires.. Good luck with the kitty..

Hey will you give us a heads up when you think you might be able to get back into the physical rewards? I know it’s stopped right now cause of the pandemic but I’ve been a member for a long time now and have wanted the physical books but I can’t afford $15 a month right now and I know you require being at that tier for two months beforehand to qualify so I’d hate to miss out on one when the time does come around (or if you’ll be opening a store where we can physically purchase them all that would be awesome too). I just love the series but having to go back through on Patreon to read it all with as many pages as it has is a bit complicated and the quick links for the chapters don’t always work. Keep up the amazing work, I’m excited to see where it goes next!
