HEEEY GUYS!

I took a small break from restoring the pages and decided to paint something again - I missed that feeling SO MUCH! With all the AI crises going around one might feel irrelevant and even like it's pointless to pursuit art. But art is the truest expression of the human soul and something that will never be taken from us or replaced!

I've been having so much fun working with No North's "New style" because I want it to feel very human and handmade. It's funny to think one of my main focuses used to be absolute perfection - but now it's expression! And I feel free and like I'm having fun like a kid with a pencil again!

It's still going to be quite a journey and I don't want the changes to feel like a downgrade for you guys, who have been with me during this whole time! But I have a feeling this will take us all down beautiful and unexpected roads...

I had the urge to paint something like this in my new style when I heard the song The Travelers by Amarante (Especially from 2:55 going forward. What a thrilling song!)

I was so excited to see them again, off adventuring into the great unknown! ✨ I love Steban's pose, he looks so excited to be showing Delilah and Martin this beautiful area! Delilah definitely looks fascinated by the beautiful mountains and the beautiful colors. Martin seems a little unsure for right now 😅 These three look great though, and I'm so happy to see them together again! 💕 The background is absolutely STUNNING!! I love this so much!! I can’t remember the last time you drew the full trio together. I feel like there moment they become an official gang will be one of my favorite parts of this story. I’ve always admired the way you incorporate your characters’ personalities so much in their body poses, and this is no exception! Steban looks energetic and cheerful as always, Delilah looks somber and imaginative, and of course, Martin is looking down at his feet and pessimisticly worrying instead of taking time to stop, look up, and appreciate the breathtaking scenery around him. Hopefully he learns a thing or two from his friends! But the background here is what takes the cake! I will never cease to be amazed by the way you wield lighting and color so perfectly like a sixth sense! The art style really reminds me of an older animated movie, like Balto or Land Before Time. I actually prefer this to the old style because, as you said, it feels more handmade and expressive. And hey, if this style means I get to read NN sooner, than I’m all game for it!

THIS IS STUNNING!! The colors are so well chosen- i absolutely love all of the textures!! Also, perfection and expression thing is something I found myself struggling with A LOT, getting so caught up in it to the point where art loses the feeling of having fun creating it. But a good friend of mine once told me that having fun is the key!! As for the new style, i love it greatly- it feels somewhat nostalgic, very pleasing to look at and brings the joy of observing the details- there's something magical about it, those textures, the use of colors, expressions, and how these combine together to form this "hand drawn" feel!! And the description of the post is heartwarming and very motivating too💚💚

Oh, wow, this has to be one my favorite pieces of art you’ve ever done!! The lighting and gorgeous scenery in the background is incredible, not to mention that amazingly drawn mountain!! It all sets the scene and mood and emotions in the piece so well. I love the hues of the pinks and browns and blues, aughhh they’re my favorite! And you draw them so well, this is why you’re my favorite artist! And Steban, Delilah, and Martin all look stunning though weary on their journey! Their expressions and anatomy with your art style look amazing! Beautiful piece, and great job! I am really liking this new style, I really hope we get to see more of this!! Also, The Travelers is such a good song, and its feeling is captured so perfectly in this, and I can see how it fits with No North, especially Steban’s love of adventure, I can see him singing and encouraging Delilah and Martin past 2:55!! I feel like that’s one incredible thing with art, the way it can meld with music and help tell its story and feeling.
