It's SURPRISE PAGE DAAAY!

And oh, Martin is digging for answers now. And for a change, Steban is dodging all of them! But Martin is not letting him off the hook that easily this time. Let's see what our beagle friend will manage to squeeze out of him!

Love the conversation between Martin and Steban. It’s interesting to see Martin asking the questions for once and wanting Steban to answer them and explain. Good to see that Steban has the rent covered ☺️ hopefully they’ve learned the lesson about climbing through the windows and the legs hope that they don’t slip awesome to see this page ☺️☺️☺️

SURPRISE PAGE DAYYY!! And we've gotten to the iconic "Steban and Martin jumping out the window" part of the comic. And I'm SURE it'll go smooth with no problems at all! 😂 I wonder if Steban will actually open up to Martin this time, or if he'll find a way to dodge Martin's questions once again

My God, I love surprise page days! Seems like Steban is ditching work again, but at least he has some coins to cover the rent. Martin wants some answers to everything they've gone through, and Steban is dodging them. Like, just answer the questions already, bro! He did promise to explain everything in the last book, so he has to live up to his promise. Also, I think I know what's coming up next; it's "Steban and Martin jumping out the window," but with a slight twist to it. I know what that twist is...

A funny thing about being a Patreon that has revised most of the page is that there are certain moments that I know will happen. So I know the conclusion of this scene, but that isn’t a problem mainly because is a small part that doesn’t affect the story, so the feeling is more of ‘rewatches’ when the tension comes from a place of knowledge and while in that place I can appreciate the small foreshadow made in these two pages with Boris (that also made for good continuity). Although, the thing that makes this not a problem is the classic "it's the journey, not the destination"; this page not only laid the ground for the conclusion, it also develops the relation with their usual banter and in one of the most interesting parts of their characters. The visual part is as gorgeous as always, specially, as usual, the clouds; there are very small parts of the page but their colours (orange and purple?) gives them a warm look and Stevan’s room is always nice to see. The expressions are as spot on as they were on the previous pages and the perspective on the final panel works well enough. My favorite one has to be Martin’s one in the third panel, because it makes his remark of exasperation more funny, especially with the decision of hiding his mouth, so it could emote entirely with his eyes. This page sets up very well the conclusion to this scene and also parts of the arc of our protagonist, that isn’t very far from the destination of the story, but I get a lot of charm in these steps and that was keeps me reading the story and that, perhaps, it’s just as important as the conclusion.
