I can't even imagine how awful it must be to be a concerned parent living in a town like Oddwind 😂 Just think of what must've been going through Sam's mind, living in a cursed town with dogs disappearing and his son just up and vanishing in the middle of the night! If it was me, I'd probably wanna strangle him for making me go crazy with worry! 🤣 Another absolutely gorgeous page! 🤩 The backgrounds and lighting here are just stunning! I have a feeling that someone's going to turn up missing again...probably Edgar, Holly, or both. Isn't that how the horror movie always kicks into high gear?

Imagine Steban runs in on next page’s first panel shouting something like “ThE dEvIl hAs CoMe FoR mE” and that’s when Holly turns up. Or maybe Holly shows up and Sam scares her away. Oh actually, that might be what happens! Holly shows up and Sam’s talk about the Northless Compass and all scares her away, and then Edgar gets into an argument with Sam, making Edgar run away only to get caught by the scorpions or the coyotes?? Just a thought.

This looks so beautiful Skailla! Love the background and scenery. Love how Edgar dad is so concerned and cares about him. Interesting wonder what's gonna to happen next, what caused the rock to break in half.

Love it!! Looks wonderful as always :) Woah…now there’s more than one rock. I think what will happen next will be that Sam and Edgar will touch it and disappear! Holly will show up later and think that Edgar forgot about her :(. I think the rocks are definitely the reason for the missing dogs. Just my theory :)

Two points. a) Beautiful page as always Skailla! b) This really makes me wonder what the significance of these standing stones are. The 'yotes burried the compass in front of one of these stones, which if they had no significance would not have been a good hiding place .Burrying it anywhere else in the desert would have made the compass much less likely to be found, so they must have had some reason to bury it infront of the stone. Perhaps it acts as some kind of ward, limiting the compasses power and stopping its influence from spreading? As for the stone by the old port, I don't think that its crack was caused by natural weathering! And unless Baltazar has decided to fund an Oddwind Quarrying company(!), I think that the crack was likely caused by preternatural means. Maybe instead of following Steban back out into the desert, the devil decided to try her hand at some demolition work!
