Hello everyone! Now that the big "startup" stuff is out of the way with animating the extant fight library and setting up the website's ecosystem, I'm going to push further as I increase my skills in the direction of making Bloodblade more immersive than ever in the gallery and animation forms. This means more advanced camera work and lighting, aiming to achieve more realism with renders, and adding more filler frames per gallery to amplify the personality of the fights. I can imagine Bloodblade characters will begin talking smack to one another before and during fighting sometime by next year, for example.

But at the same time as leveling up skills on DAZ and Blender, I'm going to be releasing tutorial and tip videos for aspiring DAZ artists and hobbyists that will run you through the basics, neat tips and tricks, and how you can optimize your DAZ renders with upscaling tools and animation tools. Once that library is complete and once I begin using Blender more religiously, I will be uploading similar videos on that as well. This is to continue to spread knowledge in this community and help others as I learn more myself (it actually sticks better when you teach others, too!).

I'll likely also be making similar videos for video editing tools like Clipchamp and DaVinci, but that's later on down the line. In the mean time, I'll be making these videos and uploading them on my YouTube channel and on the website for download.

I started Bloodblade because I wanted to tell a story that I've had in my mind since Mortal Kombat began making its post-Sarkeesian turn. It was a dangerous, cruel, gut-wrenching story about humans pushed to the brink and the choices they make in the backdrop of elite corruption. I was playing around with DAZ at the time, making Mortal Kombat figures for fun. I had by then tried my hand at an elementary Mortal Kombat spinoff fanfic comic called Mortal Kombat: Bloodlines when I realized that DAZ has the potential to bring stories to life for many people that are primarily worldbuilders and storytellers. This, in my view, makes DAZ different from more "bonafide" 3D programs like ZBrush and Blender. DAZ makes all the props for a good story available. And now, three books and a whole universe later, I'm aiming to increase my skill level with Daz, Blender and other programs as not only part of the Bloodblade Fight Club production pipeline, but to teach others to make quality narrative content as well.
