Hey everyone! Dropping a treat soon for next month in addition to bracket and Redemption matches. It's one of the most loved matches in Bloodblade history- Seon Mi vs. Slither at the Pavilion! This is a redo of your favorite deadly showdown with some adjustments to allow for smoother animation, improvements to lighting and overall storytelling.

Though I will say now that Seon Mi is out of the bracket and Redemption, we're going to have to wait until Second Blood or until a bonus match for her to finally win. She's kind of been the punching bag of the series in terms of the tournament.

I am currently working on an e-mail list for the website, so please bear with me. Check in on the site's News section (front page) for updates on available fights, finishers and new forays into social media for freebies. Oh, also- there's been a bug with the store that some people have pointed out with respect to WooCommerce timing out links. That's been fixed!

Posepacks have been put on hold for the time being BUT, the good thing about this OS wipe/computer repair is that all the assets that stopped working last year have started working again. This means better fight effects, battle damage, expressions and anatomy features. I had essentially been working with 3/4 of my assets ever since I made a library move to a new partition last year and for the life of me haven't been able to get things right since. Now with the slate clean, everything works, so you'll be getting higher quality material.

Some overall goals for 2026-2027:

1) Gender parity: In line with making Bloodblade an equal opportunity fighting universe, I am aiming at making an even split between M-M, F-F and M-F fights. This means adjusting brackets and Redemption Matches. Likewise, some Redemption Matches will not be eligible for vote/have fixed outcomes to prevent a slant. There's no question that some of the risque 90's-inspired designs are one of the attractive elements of the universe, and we don't want to not be able to see this in later brackets because people voted these characters to lose.

2) A complete body of 50+ fights and other content: This includes the completion of First Blood, the redoing of some older matches (we did it with Ming and Deringer, now we will do Seon Mi and Slither, Rukhsana and Bruiser, Rudra and Stalker, Tamora and Ming, Akira and Seon Mi, Rukhsana and Nightmare, and I plan on making the Harrison/Gisela vs. Nightmare one as well). Each of them will try to keep the old environment but I may spice things up here with new environments/custom environments bashed together with various assets (like the Platform in the Spektra/Bruiser match).

3) Narrative scenes: As I finish re-publishing the first three books and move on to writing Ascension in 2027, I will be creating teaser videos featuring narrative scenes from the books. The initial scenes will not contain dialogue (I'm trying to explore various tools for this as well as voice acting) but later scenes will. This is to add a bit of a "cinematic" quality. I will also include pre-match "tough talk" between the fighters a la Mortal Kombat 9.

4) Costume diversity: Everyone's a fan of the OG costumes, let's not kid ourselves. I have more modest, practical costumes for about 3/4 of the fighters currently and will be working in a third set of more risque, Bloodblade style costumes. There will also be color variations to OG costumes, as seen with yellow Gisela, aquamarine Seon Mi, and black-red Spektra. I'm going to bring back chainmail hooded Eviscerator, I'm going to do Immortal-mask Ghoul, I'm going to do slave Rukhsana (from the books when she went incognito as a slave), I'm going to do The Warriors themed Bruiser, leather-jacket tough guy Abayon, Oi! Tamora, leopard-skin Atzi, toga Phaedra, boxer Harrison, Spetsnaz Gennadiy, classy-dress Nancy, Quipao Ming, d--thmask Yamoja, masked Nightmare, "Chimaera" Slither (with armor and spikes), butcher-apron Rotten, cyber-suit Spektra, leather-chap Chloe, and scarred Rudra.

5) Ascension characters: Expect Maytal Regev (in beret/fatigue and agent/suit costumes), Mathieu (in shirtless/pants + medical worker costume), Lady Astarte (in Cabal cloak costume), the High Priest (in Cabal cloak costume).
