So, right. The big deal here, with Sakura looking like a brick shithouse...is that its not what is done. Kunoichi are poisoners. Saboteurs. Honey traps. She doesn't fit the mold at all. She looks like a frontliner when she should be doing something in the back, like healing the actual fighters or pulling Genjutsu tricks as support.

This is an actual problem in Naruto canon. Kurenai has problems with it. Terumi Mei. Tsunade for a bit before she turned that shit on its head.

Tsunade isn't the norm though. The greater kunoichi population isn't taken seriously...and it doesn't help that dieting, of the fad variety, is endemic in the Nations. It's a serious, serious problem.

Sakura, canon Sakura, did herself damage when she was younger. Real damage, trying to catch Sasuke's eye as she kept herself to a starvation diet... She doesn't even grow as tall as her mother. Her chest is nonexistent in comparison as well. Lots of little things adding up...she only grows 4 and a half inches from the age of twelve to the end of Naruto.

And she isn't the only one. Hinata has been seen/heard bemoaning the size of her breasts and her hips, and doing much the same diet as canon Sakura did. Same with Ino. Same with Tenten. Same with every other female ninja. Its a problem.

She doesn't fit the mold. She's weird. People don't get what she's doing or why... Shit that's obvious to us, her loading up on food to feed her gains, doesn't make sense. You know why? Ninja just became civilized around 50 years ago. As in, they settled down in one place and started this thing called 'schools' and 'hospitals' and 'taxes' within living memory. The Academy is still stuck on war mode, churning out chakra enhanced children as quickly as possible with missing basics, and just three jutsu, for a future war.

A lot of the stuff she does is either secret, in a library somewhere... Or they don't know. Dear god, they have no idea what DNA is! Or blood types! Or, again, why fad diets are bad! Ninja aren't dumb. I'm not saying that...but they're missing a lot of info. Info that Sakura isn't. Thanks for coming to my Pidge talk.
