@ 16:56 Now this shit right here! This pause and thr reaction you've given shows how much this shit was jawdropping too. I was ecstatic by this battle sequence too. I'm glad you enjoyed that scene.

Chaolao

Yeah man, idk bout you but those subtitles are fucking janky and ass, ass fuck. I prefer it being in the anime instead of it being overlapping with other shit.

Hehe, Hal and Merry were being shipped ever since in episode 7/8. Hal and Yume, didn't really feel like it.

Bro! I've been waiting for season 2, for fucking 10/15 year's dawg!! Again, this anime was only every used to promote their light novel books, only. They never went back.

To read the sources for this series. I'd recommend reading it on JNovels or Amazon. I think most of it is translated, and apparently what I heard. The author already finished this series in the books, and is moving onto the sequel books.

Don't read the Manga, even that one was discontinued and the artwork is a bit.... horrible than it looks.

Novel (Volume 2 equivalent) ▪︎• The anime adapts the first two light novel volumes, with episode 12 covering the conclusion of volume 2's arc. ▪︎• Levels and Skills: The novel provides more detail into the specific skills the characters learn and how they acquire them through training with their guilds. For example, Haruhiro's training with Barbara helps him acquire skills like Backstab and improves his ability to perceive enemy weak points, which is crucial for his fight with Death Spots. The novel also emphasizes that physical builds matter in Grimgar; characters aren't "leveling up" in the traditional sense of gaining raw stats, but rather honing their existing physical abilities and learning specific, practical skills within their class guild. ▪︎• Differences: While the core plot points are the same, the novel provides more internal monologue and detailed descriptions of the world and character motivations. The novel highlights that this world is not a game where points are allocated, but a harsh reality where physical attributes and practical experience are paramount. The novel also sets up future events and characters, such as the Tokki party and Jessie Smith, in more detail than the anime. ▪︎● Powerscale: The powerscale is very grounded and realistic within the novel. Haruhiro's ability to see "lights" is a rare thief ability, but still requires immense focus and risk. The powerscale in the novel remains relatively low and realistic for beginner adventurers, emphasizing the constant danger and fragility of life, before they eventually go on to face even bigger threats like dragons and inter-world travel in later volumes.
