RIP Lancer, 2004-2004.

dbcks

prisma illya was based entirely on these short magical girl segments

dbcks

the characters you don't know are from Tsukihime which I'm sure people have said doesn't have an anime. (It has a terrible one from the early 2000's)

dbcks

Also the "previews" at the end are skits not actual previews

Wendy

neko-arc isnt from anything (beyond a weird sidejoke in kagetsu tohya and melty blood) but took over the internet over lockdown. i think your enjoyment of this series would be higher if you read Tsukihime but i dont think its necessary as long as you just like accept the weirdness as it comes

Chaolao

Neco-arc has been popular way before lockdown too. It's other spin-off fighting games, similar to Tekken/Street Fighter but in 8bit style. Though, it mainly follows Nasu's other works aside Tsukihime side-spinoff.

Chaolao

The ost in that forbidden anime is amazing.

Chaolao

Bruh!? I didn't know you started reacting to this?????

The small humanoid can entity is named or known as, Neko Arc, from a arcade game (including inside the ps2, and was very popular innthe earlier 2000's.) This fighting game & tournaments were pretty on par similar with Tekken tournaments or Super Smash tournaments. Very popular back then.

Powerscaling for Rob of that cat thingy. Important Context: Neko Arc is primarily a "gag character" and the mascot of the Tsukihime and Melty Blood franchises. Consequently, her abilities often operate on "cartoon logic," making her simultaneously incredibly weak (a "small-fry") and absurdly powerful depending on the scene. I. Race & Origin 1. Species/Race: Neco Spirit (Cat). 2. Origin: The Great Cat's Village (a Kingdom of Cats). 3. Identity: A pint-sized parody of Arcueid Brunestud. It is often ambiguous whether she is a mutation, a hallucination, or a distinct entity created by Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg. II. Feats Neko Arc's feats fluctuate wildly between "harmless mascot" and "cosmic threat" depending on whether the scene is comedic. • Destructive Power (Gag): 1. Galaxy Destruction: In Melty Blood: Type Lumina, her Last Arc (super move) depicts her destroying the Milky Way galaxy. 2. Building Destruction: In Carnival Phantasm (Episode 2), she destroys a café with a single eye beam. • Durability: 1. Atmospheric Re-entry: She has survived falling from space, enduring atmospheric re-entry and a crash landing without lasting damage. 2. 9 Lives: References to having "nine lives" like a cat (compared to Berserker's 12 lives in Fate). • Speed: 1. Hypersonic+: Capable of casually leaving the atmosphere. 2. Rocket Flight: Can transform her legs into a rocket booster to fly at high speeds. III. Skills & Abilities Her moveset is erratic, relying on summoning, randomness, and fourth-wall breaking. 1. True Ancestor Beam / Eye Beams: She can fire lethal laser beams from her eyes. The range and power vary from hitting a person to destroying a building. 2. Summoning (Neco-Packet): She can summon other Neco-Arcs or objects (like a generic "Neco-Arc" or "Neco-Arc Chaos") to fight for her. This is often RNG-based (random number generation). • Reality Warping / Toon Force: 1. Fourth Wall Breaking: She is aware she is in a game/anime, often addressing the audience or the creators (e.g., summoning Kinoko Nasu). 2. Shapeshifting: Can transform her body parts (e.g., turning into a rocket, extending limbs). 3. Remake Power: In Type Lumina, she claims to have awakened to the power of the "remake." 4. Abaddon Force/Flare: Energy projection attacks often fired from the mouth or eyes. 5. Teleportation: She utilizes the "Great Cat Village Portal" to move or summon allies. • IV. Notable Statements These statements are derived from game lore, character profiles, and creator commentary (often tongue-in-cheek). 1. "Second Strongest in the Nasuverse": A famous (joke) statement asserts she is the second strongest character in the Type-Moon universe, second only to Magical Amber. 2. "Twice as strong as Arcueid": She has been described as having 50% of Arcueid's power or being "twice as strong," though in practice she is usually treated as the "biggest small-fry." 3. Rivalries: She views Miyako Arima as a rival and frequently torments Satsuki Yumizuka and White Len. (FYI, you won't know these characters ever, cause an anime besides the visual will ever get an anime. Probably for another decade until FGO Lostbelt 7 finishes on phone). V. Powerscaling Powerscaling Neko Arc requires splitting her into two categories: Serious and Gag. 1. Serious / Low-End Scaling (The "Small Fry"): • Tier: Below Human / Mascot level. • Reasoning: In a serious fight without gag physics, she is physically small (60cm), has short range (T-Rex arms), and is considered the weakest unit in the Great Cat's Village. She often loses to joke characters or children like Miyako. 2. Gag / High-End Scaling (The "Meme God"): • Tier: 1-C (Complex Multiverse Level) or Star/Galaxy Level. • Reasoning: 1. Galaxy Feat: Her Type Lumina super move destroys a galaxy. 2. Scaling Chain: As a gag character, she "scales" above serious threats because narrative logic does not apply to her. 3. Creator Statements: If the "Second Strongest in Nasuverse" statement is taken literally, she would scale above cosmic entities like Types (Ultimate Ones) and Divine Spirits, solely because she is a joke character that cannot be defeated by serious logic.

@ 17:50 (pretty wherever he's shown), that's Shiki Tohno, the second character in the early character to have the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception/MEODP. Fun facts! Shiki Ryougi and Shiki Tohno, Fujino's, (Garden of Sinners movie 2/3? Purple hair girl) and the ill woman in Garden of Sinners movie 1 at the hospital & these maids at the beach are all demon hunter's bloodlines. If you wanna get a better brief skimming through them, Tsiah IV got a video about them.

Chaolao

@ 21:21 That blue hair woman is Ciel, she's in the same working like Kirei Kotomine, as a Executioner from the Roman burial agency, a bit of a outside the church's hands with strong, as dangerous people like Kirei. Fun fact, I forgot where it was mentioned but you remember EMIYA Archer wearing all that red clothes outside is black clothes underneath. That was given to him by Ciel, since she taught Shirou some things back before he turned into a counter guardian for the world. It has a passive effect, can't remember where but it's the same thing that held Hevean's Feel Shirou's arm when Archer gave his arm to him. It's pretty powerful in it's own rights.

Chaolao

@ 24:23 Yeah, homeboys got more of a harem than Shirou. I believe he's got about.... how many... more than 10? O can't remember off the bat, but that many.

Chaolao

Yeah, the Tsukihime is actually good, only if you don't know about the shit, ost is a banger tho. I'd love to send some you're way, but I've been drained from life, so yeah. Again, theanimated Studio Deen's Tsukihime anime is actually worst than Studio Deen's Fate/Stay Night. Why? Because they tried to fit in, all fucking 5ish routes each from the og visual novel together, up to ep.4 it was good I'd say. Hmmm, what else... forgot.

Chaolao

Yo! I'm down for the manga reaction too.
