This episode spawned an entire industry of head loss memes and created the 3 episode rule for anime.

Ah, episode 3. THE episode 3. The episode 3 that created all episodes 3 to come after it. Since you've been skipping them, you should know that the original bubbly ED lasted only two episodes and has already been replaced with the real ED, Magia, which is a fantastic song.

To give some context, as you can see by the comments this episode was... something else when it came out, the anime did a very hard job to not give any ideas where it could go, it was paste as this happy go lucky magical girls anime and when the chapter ended it took the anime community by a storm, everyone was shocked, there were a lot of memes and the 3 episode rule was made to know what an anime really was about, the best part were the poor kids watching this and having nightmares as it was literally labeled as for kids in japan lol
