This concludes another story of the three stories arc. Again, it’ll be a while before you see the last one. Personally speaking, this is definitely my favorite arc of Index season 1. Even though the novel version of this is even better and more introspective, the quality still shines through in this form too.

As a cool sidenote, like you theorized in the last episode, Accelerator’s power isn’t really suited for fixing things as much as it is for destruction, which is why he didn’t even try to fix his room. But in this episode, he finally has the motivation to use his powers for something other than destruction, which, quite ironically, ends up inadvertantly evolving the versatility of his ability on the spot. Such a great micro arc within this larger story.

In the novel Amai flee with the car and Accelerator jump in front of the car instead of Amai driving right on him.

Amai shot Accelerator with a special bullet which hit in two times the bullet and the wind. The wind closely follow the bullet. The wind carries the most of the damage and has been reflected by Accelerator so the bullet only deal a minimum of damage. If Amai had use a normal bullet Accelerator would be dead.

The closest to an official name for Accelerator we get is Touma imagining accelerator transferring to his class dressed as a girl named Suzushina Yuriko due to his bad luck in a scene that gets cut from the anime

Yes. This 2 episode arc is one of the most dear to fans. Accelerator is a true enigma of anime, and damn, do we love his skeptical ass. I'm glad I got to see someone else love it.
