I think when they're talking about Koyomi temporarily becoming a vampire they mean when he lets Shinobu drink his blood, which strengthens both of them, making him more vampiric than his normal less-than-a-vampire-but-not-quite-human state. I could be wrong though. Screw sexposition, let's have more of Shinobu and Yotsugi playing in the background during exposition scenes.
