I forget....didn't Accelerator learn Touma's name at some point?!? Either answer would royally piss me off at this point. Either he got his ass handed to him thoroughly by a Level "0" and never bothered to know that dude's name, or he did hear it, but this was "anime bullshite" where some info is redacted from reality to make comedy happen for the sake of......nothing. Series that have 2 or more massively important characters just ignorantly pass one another without contact irritate me beyond description. I've forgotten Toaru enough by now to stupidly raise my hopes for stuff like that.

That's actually messed up by the anime adaptation. In Volume 5 of the novel, Accelerator only refers to Touma as "that Level 0" and he doesn't know Touma's name when he meets Index. But in the anime season 1, they changed his monologue to something like "that guy named Kamijo Touma."

Also, from when he got beaten up by Touma to this point, only about 40 days have passed. And they crammed the Last Order arc, a whole season of A Certain Scientific Accelerator, the Tree Diagram Remnant arc, and many other side stories into those 40 days while Accelerator was in the hospital, so I guess he didn’t have much time to do research on Touma.
