Your reaction to this episode makes me so very hyped for many other moments throughout the series. If you've enjoyed ALL of SAO so far- the story, characters, music, action, any of it -then I suspect your face might melt off to other INSANE OST hits or unbearly epic fights or unforgivable tragedies or superb characters that you end up pissed that they hadn't already been in the show. Now, I am as biased as it gets, I admit that upfront. However, I am convinced of my joy and hype for this anime by the evidence of the other reactions I've watched of this anime. Some were more vocal than other, but most of them were were speechless for a bit. When they finally found the way to express what they thought, they had shiny, very happy words to say. I don't "demand" everyone enjoy it, but I am confident that you will. I hope you at least have a lot of fun with SAO. That much would make me happy for you.

22:40 No, you were objectively correct. This sunset is stupidly gorgeous. That shot enhances the mo.ent. More of that ahead!

I think this chapter is a good sign that the author became better at writing. Also, something to keep in mind that I never understood: for some reason, the anime producers A-1 Pictures decided to make Kirito this all-powerful God in games, but obviously in the novels he is very different. This sometimes makes the story feel weird when he should show weakness, but the anime can't execute it correctly because he has to be this beacon or whatever. Anime productions are weird. For example, here you can see him being "cool" and "calm" when he helped Sinon shoot but in the novel when Sinon sees his expression he is panicking too with his hands trambling and shaking too which in a way calms her seeing this guy that seems good at everything being also scared, the same was with him struggling and crying with the nurse and all before but in the novel my man was having constant panic attacks and nightmares that made Sugu very worried. The reason why he decided to not call Asuna and tell her his worries was because he felt that he didn't deserve her love, as he was a killer and all of that. It's the same with Heathcliff in Season 1. For example, in the novel, when he loses the fight, the anime doesn't really show it, but he feels like Heathcliff is this superior being in everything and that he is nothing compared to him. Also, fun fact: the reason why he was so overpowered in SAO is because he had a lot of social anxiety and hated interacting. Instead, he spent all day calculating damage stats, regeneration rates, and movement patterns to the point that he knew almost everything about the monsters. IN FACT, when he fought that monster on Floor 70 without Asuna and the monster did a new, weird move he didn't know ( he had fought a lot of those monsters before) he was scared shitless 😂 and noped out instantly. He came back only after Asuna joined him (before fighting the The Gleam Eyes monster with two swords) because, unlike him who relies on monster data and mental practice, Asuna was so much better at reacting to things that came out of nowhere (despite him supposedly having better reflexes). The real reason why he didn't want to bring her at first was... because he didn't want her to see his "uncool" side lol.
