They didn't shrink at the end, they just got transported to another place. Also the bird at the end is pretty much confirmed to be Pandora watching 👀 In the ED there's a picture showing the group of 6 that the hands belong to, being Reid, Flugel, Shaula, Farsale, Satella, and Echidna

So...perhaps you missed that Satella and the Witch of Envy are two halves of one woman basically? Envy is who showed up at the Sanctuary, Satella is who was coming into the Tower. One theory is that the further away "she" goes determines which personality is in control. Volcanica's whole freak out with Emilia sorta tells the whole story. I guess that Volcanica regrets not stopping or killing Satella before she was broken by the Envy Witch Factory. You see her grooving with Flügel, Farsale, and their group in the ED, so clearly she hadn't gone mad yet then. I just love how emotional this dragon dude gets over what happened to his precious friend.

So, with the plethora of moments in these last two season that displayed Emilia CLEARLY coming to terms with the real feelings that she has towards Subaru, it is damn evident what her "Ice Soldiers" would take the form of. The man who supports her with every drop of blood and tears within him.

Btw, it's clearly stated in the novel that nothing of Shaula is within that tiny scorpion. I think it even stings Subaru in the webnovel or even LN. It's just a wee mabeast that knows to submit to Meili. That part hurt like hell to read. I wanna believe it can be.....so thing later.

When Ram connected to Rem to use a horn, Rem, even though "not there," took the bulk of thr paint d physical damage that would have dropped Ram out of the fight within. Like 2 minutes. Even if Rem is asleep, Ram hates having to force any agany on to her body.
