Yup, you were not wrong that someone was dying, but never guessed that it was all of them. SAO players over here playing to survive. Sleeping Knights over here playing till they die.

The Medicuboid really is a dream machine, it takes away pain with the numb of the rest of the body while also making it possible for people with lossed limbs or any kind of mental/Central Nervous System disorders to be able to be normal for once, to let people with vision problems including blindness to see, for a deaf person to hear, for a mute to talk while also giving you the oportunity to travel between virtual worlds and be able to have a life no matter how limited it could be. I can't imagen to put a price on such a dreamlike machine and yet, just like the doctor said, it doesn't cure the dissease or the main problem of whatever is affecting you, it let's you have a beautiful dream to escape reality to a maybe a better place and yet I would never call such a machine anything but a "dream machine" by literally making what could be called a miracle for people in such bad states. I found it really beautiful the idea of such a thing and I also found really endearing how the doctor talked about it, witch such excitment and I could tell that he really was a good doctor wishing for his patiens to have even a brighter day or life despite it all.

It is impossible to prevent any and all complications like infected blood. That's why there's like 20 procedures to vet and analysis organs and blood donation. I used to donate plasma twice a week every week for years. With the pre-screening questions being pretty stringent, there are some places you can visit or some activities you can do it that they will never accept your blood just because it can't be a sure thing. Sadly, humans can do nothing perfectly 100% of the time
