Galaxyyy impaacctooooo 🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣

Lilipat

You loved this back in the manga as well🫡the galaxy impact in the manga made you break your glass cabinet cause you flew there 💀

Zanarkand

We almost caught up boys!

Lilipat

To enjoy both manga and anime at the same time you probably will have to try drop the mindset of “IF ONLY I NEVER READ THE MANGA FAM” while watching the anime :((( instead, it might make you feel better by thinking in terms of seeing amazing panels animated and reacting to how Toei nails it . Plus picking up stuff in the anime you might miss out from the manga like Garp making ship fly and the shanks vs kid fight, overall making you understand the one piece story especially since you have anime to help you see how the manga panels flow

Crowseye

Ngl the anime is great, but the manga is just as exciting, if not more, and the discussions are 100x more hype.

Lilipat

By the way, back when the gear 5 chapter happened in the manga, French news literally mentions it the same month :((( 40-55 weeks before it happens in the anime

KingStation314

whether we agree or not it's win-win ngl we're blessed with both

Daquan

The anime is dope too, but you can't forget the risk. We're in the endgame now, spoilers are already almost impossible to dodge. And it's only gonna get harder, closer we get to the ending, the harder it will be. In fact, I genuinely believe that it will be impossible to be anime only once the ending gets revealed. There's just no way.

Lilipat

Look at how hype and excited Khan is when he finds out episode is about Koby because he knows Garp will appear and other stuffs 🥹 boost his reaction to the episode cause of the excitement and also his own enjoyment to one piece in general 🥲

Pepe

Let's goooo!!!!

Zanarkand

Manga > Anime (and i read and watch the series) Fam can do both as well, there is a gap of 1 - 1.5 years from manga to anime anyway (enough time for him to "forget" what has happened inbetween). Aint no way this destroys the excitement. It doesnt matter how good the anime is going, i would not risk any of that to get myself spoiled like that. We are at the final saga, this ain't the drum island arc. It's recency bias on Khan's side, when he was anime only it was the best thing ever, when he switched to manga, he said how manga was better. He returns, watch a bunch of anime episodes and now it's the anime again thats better. This is not a shot at Khan but fam was always like that. To me this is more of a logical thing to stick to manga, people suggesting that a spoiler every now and then would be "ok" as long as he sticks to anime can get my foot up their ass. Like why did we start manga in the first place? We had almost the same discussion back then when Khan was on the fence on trying out the manga and anime onlys would go ape shit. The series has maybe 3-4 years left (manga wise) at most i'd say, spoiler free for that long? Let's not pretend that the anime won't have any more breaks in the future, so we probably talking about 5-6 years to stay spoiler free. Just look at the past how that worked out, yea it didn't.

NANA

1 plus 1 = 2. Khan clearly wants to do anime regardless of how much you enjoyed it Zanarkand… For us not to be ‘selfish’ we should advocate for what khan wants to do, similar to what the Re Zero fans were saying. Khan clearly wants to watch anime, but isn’t outright saying it, hence why if it was as simple as ‘just watch and read both bro 🧠’ that’s literally what he would have planned to do anyways…

NANA

Khan again, as you once said, your enjoyment comes first. If you think you’d prefer anime, then watch it. If you think it’s not worth the spoiler risk, then don’t. The more you make things blurry the more people are gonna hate and argue about it. Just stand on it and say ‘I wanna watch anime cause this shit fire, if you don’t like it… DO ONE!’ 😂😂😂 Also, this is your last chance to switch to anime if you do, as you would have to wait a year and 6 months no new content for the anime to catch up to the manga again once you’re caught up. But now you’re much closer to anime in terms of fresh content

Busta Riggz

Khan: Give us a spectacle! One piece: say less

rokitup

GARP CHUJO NUKE

Isa

flip a coin

Matthew Gilroy

Agreed with everything you said Khan. The anime clears the manga🤷🏾‍♂️

Matthew Gilroy

The manga has been a blueprint for the anime for 5+ years now😂

PieRat

100% this

PieRat

NANA, as Zanarkand mentioned, Khan said the same thing when he started manga. Ofc he will do what he likes, but i dont think he would want to stay anime only if he were to be spoiled. And let's say that the one piece gets revealed, is there any chance that he will stay unspoiled on that?

Lilipat

The silly backlash 💀

debmans

i think its wrong to see the manga as just a way to not get spolied. it makes the anime better and makes you like it more and shows you the story in 2 diffrent ways and allows you to not miss anything

debmans

for me the biggest thing about the manga reading it with khan and on my own is i felt i was able to enjoy the anime more once i started it and was able to enjoy the story in 2 diffrent ways rather then just watching the anime and kindoff forgetting so there is so much more in the manga then just being spoiler free and i think if khan reads more manga he will relise it

debmans

very true i watch khan say thoses things but i belive he just not relising hes wrong because hes not read the manga for a long time and hes forgotten there is so much more to the manga then just being spolier free

Zanarkand

The "lili" backlash*

Zanarkand

Fam, we are in the final saga. The most selfish thing would be to let him just pick the anime only route and be alright with it, i couldnt care less if it was another series but it's One Piece. There are just too many negatives than positives staying anime only at this point. Mods are trying their hardest to help this man regarding spoilers and now i see people being like: "fuck it, if it happens it happens" What type of BS is that? Khan literally mentioned that he can be more free when he's caught up, dude can actually interact with his community, read comments and do streams without worries (would make things easier for the mods as well). Man has to constantly do a hide & seek after watching an episode, man can't even discuss things properly like theories, one of the beauties when it comes to this series.

MunsterWitcher95

Agreed, plus where Khan left off on in the manga he's about to see how peak Egghead really is.

NANA

Wait 😂😂😂😂 it would be selfish to let him do what he wants? What type of mental gear 5 fuckery do you have to go into to convince yourself of that. Khan isn’t a child my man! He knows the pros and cons. If he sees anime as worth it then let him continue. Simple. Also, being a mod is an elective role lol. It’s not like khan is putting them through impel down by having them guard against spoilers I’m still laughing at that 😂😂😂 you said word for word ‘the most selfish thing for you to do is to let him pick’?!??!?!

Smilee

Do whatever you feel like doing man , don't worry too much about opinions cuz you can't satisfy everyone

Crowseye

Also just to add this, you have your own opinion and we'll all respect that. I just want to point out that at the end of the day, the anime is not Oda's. The manga is the author's very own source and the best representation of things. Toei often adds things, changes stuff around, and sometimes fans don't even realize it. There's also cover stories that most often never even get adapted but all count as a part of the main story. It's always up to you, but the anime isn't going anywhere and just as you enjoyed these Egghead episodes, you'll enjoy whatever you read in the future as well. But having a firsthand impression of the work directly from the author is important in my opinion. Rest it's all up to you and we'll always be here 🙏

Gruscht

One of the main reasons I donated money for the shed was because I thought he would react to the manga again. But there’s no point in wondering after every well-animated episode whether he should just watch the anime or not. The simplest solution would have been if he had just continued from where he left off.

Bayern Fan TV

As someone who doesn't care too much about which one you'll do, manga vs anime etc, I'll just ask this one question. What if you do get spoiled on something major? Ultimately, this is what it boils down to. You may not be in circles too much where you can be spoiled, but one single person can always ruin that. Obviously do what you enjoy the most, and both are great in their own right, but I feel like you're thinking of switching back to anime - precisely because you haven't been spoiled in a while? Let's say you were anime only right now, and someone spoiled Kuma for you tomorrow - would that change your mind and make you read the manga? If so, its not necessarily the anime experience you're after, but an unspoiled anime experience, and whether that will happen is anyone's guess. Just wanted to bit of a voice for the manga since everyone in the comments seems to be a voice for the anime.

ᴘᴀɴᴅᴏʀᴀ

Whatever you want Khan but I feel like you forgot just how much you enjoyed the manga. Also One Piece is way way more mainstream than it was just three years ago, Luffy did a whole collaboration with the LA Lakers just a week ago and said LeBron went gear five. I really and truly hope you don't get spoiled if you do decide to stick with the anime, but seriously something could just pop up on the news or something one day. I support you though either way!

Abdel

You can enjoy both, why risk spoilers when One piece is reaching its climax. IMO just do manga by it self and after 6 months come back to Anime as a refresher

Sakomai Balls

Moving my reply from Zanarkand's comment to the main comments: Seconding Zanarkand and the others. Manga > Anime. There will be literally NO ESCAPE once the One Piece is finally revealed. There will be billboards and news articles about it for MONTHS if not years since the series has been making it's way into the front of Pop-Culture: The Lakers, the Las Vegas Sphere, etc. And thats only now in 2025. Around 2030 when the series ends, anyone who's never read or heard about One Piece: even they will be spoiled. Think back to the time when Gear 4 and other Dressrosa moments were spoiled to him when he was just chilling with his kids in public. He stopped live reacting to the anime for a dozen episodes. So imagine him getting spoiled on THE BIGGEST REVEAL. You think he's just gonna stop live reacting to it for a while again? Nahhh he's full on dropping it like he did AOT. Arguably the best method to consume One Piece would be what some people have suggested already: read the manga AND watch the anime. There's a 1.5 year gap in between the mediums and he clearly still enjoys the anime despite knowing a lot of what happens next. Now some people will read that last sentence and go "well since you said that, then that means spoilers won't be a big deal right??Because he's still enjoying the anime even though he knows what's gonna happen." No, that is NOT the same. He's able to enjoy it since he got to experience those moments for the FIRST TIME reading the manga. The key word being "experience". The thrill the audience gets when they have all these hints and clues about a story in the back of their head, and then a single moment happens where they all just "click" into place is one of the most satisfying feelings and is a HUGE part of storytelling. Having someone describe to you what a roller-coaster feels like, and actually riding that roller-coaster is a very big difference. You cannot tell me those 2 things provide THE SAME amount of enjoyment.

Lilipat

We thought he will continue manga on day 1 after returning, but end up he said he wanna catch up to anime first before continue manga and now because of the anime, he wants to become anime only again :((((

Lilipat

Is Nana forgetting how much spoilers affect Khan :0

subzerostolly

Someone gotta let khan know what keys to press to go frame by frame so he can see all those hidden details of greatness the animators slapped in our faces

Johnn

The comment section 💀

Fazreen Shah

Btw fam, Garp not punching the water to move the ship, he's punching the air to make that ship moved. How strong he is.

Whitebeard

Go with what you wanna do.

NANA

Bro don’t tell him to do what he wants that’s selfish 😂😂😂

Whitebeard

What? He knows the pros and cons, thus leave him be. All there is to it.

NANA

Yea I was being sarcastic, guy tried saying that opinion was selfish to me lol

Joyboy

for the many who is talking about spoilers this spoiler that just so you know you can avoid spoilers and khan can, did someone spoile him anything from the manga chap that he did not read yet NO, so he can avoid them. and you guys speaking about the one piece and the end of one piece when it coms out bro manga and anime is long away from that .when the manga is at its end then if he want he can go back to manga but now let him enjoy the anime or the manga let him watch what he want do not scare him spoilers spoilers just stop.

williamson

The reason he started reading the manga is because he kept getting spoiled. Someone even spoiled him IRL. There's no reactor other than Khan that goes out of his way to avoid spoilers has much has him(No social media other than youtube, no twitter, tiktok,no discord, sub only twitch, barely looks at patreon comments and etc). Even the mods are the one linking him the episode so that he can avoid interacting with site that could potentially spoil him. Were not the ones who scares him from spoiler. Khan from the get go is scared of them and hates them for obvious reason. Him avoiding the manga literally makes him interact less with his community.Khan gets less enjoyment from things he watches/reads if gets spoiled. If you look at most shows that khan dropped in the past was because he got spoiled. +Khan enjoys the manga has much as the anime and the reason we know this is from him reacting to the manga saying that it was better than the anime when the anime was already going hard.

PieRat

Do you know how many times Khan got spoiled in the past? And a lot of times, even with all those measures he takes, it is unavoidable for him. Even if he is extra careful, someone might randomly spot him when he is out and shout a spoiler (has happened in the past btw).

Joyboy

Omg i know how much people have spoiled for him in the past but it is possible to avoid it you mean all the people who is anime only have been spoiled no.

Cebrailltd

Damn after the poll we getting another banger comment section

MadSkillz

....... so you say "Omg i know how much people have spoiled for him in the past" then right after that you say "but it is possible to avoid it"..... which one is it brother.... is Khan able to avoid spoilers or is he not cause that is the subject of this discussion not "all the people who is anime only".... we are here to watch Khan.

MadSkillz

this is the best option... he himself has said stuff like "wait i dont remember this in the manga" when either 1. was changed and altered a bit. 2. was in the manga but not as long. Either way he would be getting a "new experience" after some time off of the anime. unless he just wants to be completely spoiled on some stuff going into endgame OP

Grim's Locker

There's no question that when the One Piece is known in the manga, all anime watchers will be spoiled. No way around it, it will be everywhere.

Eduardo Silvestre Leônidas

Khan watch your reaction to se galaxy impact on the manga was hype as fuck you saying that anime did better because you are comparing both, that’s no fair you can get hype on both media’s because it’s new the new factor is hype because you don’t know what’s gonna happen so you can feel hype on both media’s but in the manga you can’t be spoiled just you can in the anime return to the manga and appreciate the fights watching the anime one piece it’s about the story the animation on this level is recent the animation before was trash, don’t switch to the anime because of the animation one piece is great because of the story not because of the animation 900 ep of the one è piece the animation was mid

Lualua

I very much disliked how they animated the galaxy fist. AI slop with no direction.

Lualua

Normies are oblivious to this, I remember the Linkin Park - Lost videoclip and how big of a mess that was. Noone cared, same here on Galaxy Fist. If they are keep doing this shit, I am done with Anime too. AI (which is not AI, just Machine Learning rebranded in 2019) can be used for good, but for creative work... No, never.

ronri
>>167938273

i miss 90s anime man, we didn't know how good we had it.

Lualua

We had it too good, but that also created this soulsucking industry. To avoid this, we must gatekeep everything, do not protect anime against tourist, say that it is true, its a kid's cartoon sure, its bad and unproductive. Every entertainment's quality started to fall as soon people started to talk about it on the mainstream.
