Out of curiosity boys.

Will comeback to this poll once I’m up to date with JoJo and finished Gintama.

What do you think il enjoy more at the end.

I know jabojo is still ongoing but this is just for the 7 parts and 300 something episodes of gintama.

Absolutely loving both at the moment.

Will probably read the comments to this on a separate video.

The tag to this poll will be “gintamajojo”

Ill be surprised if Gintama isnt ur top 5 at the end

Jls121

Based on your taste jojo but it’s not impossible for it to be gintama

Hbk

Gintama 100% I love jojo but I don’t even think it it’s close. Jojos is more hype but you’ll prolly love gintama more by the end

saevant

hard to say. i never thought you would enjoy jojo as much as you are at the moment. gintama is more about feels and life lessons, jojo is all about the creative ways they use the powers. going with gintama as of right now but jojo is like nothing else you've experienced really, its the wild card

Karl

Jojo 100% its perfectly adapted from the manga with no censorship and it gets straight to the point every character is enjoyable and such an amazing unique power stands. And best of all ths OSTS is the best not even top tier.

I definitely think it will be gintama khan. I feel like it belongs to that special group of anime 'made' for you, with its characters, messages, life lessons and what it can teach you. Things that hit real hard and close to home, you've seen it be done with several other stories you absolutely love, I don't need to name them. You've barely scratched the surface on what gintama can offer, a ride that's so unique with it's Main character acting the way he does, the comedy, and the tone shift when things go serious. The way we can get extremely attached to lovable characters through so much comedic screen time, means that when stakes rise and somebody gets hurt, villains show up, just like any other shonen, this time it hits 1000x harder. Thats always how it went for me, think about Benizakura, gintoki got slashed, badly wounded, passed out, it happens to every main character in every other arc. Yet I was screaming, why does it hit so much harder here, why do I care so much more? How many times have you seen Gintama introduce a new character and you as the viewer, immediately say "I LOVE this character", in a single episode. Passion, soul and love from the author to a degree one can't put in words, is the reason I think. Resulting in my favourite anime main character ever with Gintoki, my favourite anime episode ever, undeniable best cast I've ever seen (e.g. even someone like Hasegawa could be someone's all time favourite, who is just a side character), has probably the best and most memorable quotes and generational music, OPs and EDs, its just top tier in all my favourite ways. (This is coming from myself, a big fan of both Gintama and Jojo. I've seen every jojo anime part, even read the upcoming part 7, and obviously seen gintama). So I can attest to both sides of the coin and properly compare. I'm not sure how many people can truly do that, some people have only ever seen 70 or less episodes of gintama or maybe only seen two/three JoJo parts. Not exactly the best comparisons I feel. You however? Definitely will prefer gintama, your love for it already is incredible and I'm beyond excited for you to experience so much peak you can't even understand. Love fam, you yourself know I've been here for years hoping it would make a return, and you've genuinely made my life that much happier. Stay blessed as always Khan, family included

Smilee

Pretty sure gintama gonna clear everything below your top 4

Snook

Jojo has zero chance of beating Gintama for him if you actually watched Gintama and know what Khan likes. He’s already teared up several times and we’re 60 episodes in come on this isn’t close

Saleem Ali

I think it will be Gintama for sure.

Johnn

I love Jojo's, but it's more of a turn off ur brain and watch it type of series which isn't a bad thing. It's hype, it's goofy, it's adventurous, it's a blast. However, with Gintama, i know there will be a few arcs that'll be in ur top 5 favorite shonen arcs, i'm willing to bet my life on that. I can't say that for jojo's. Gintama isn't just about the serious arcs too. As you've seen in the recent episodes, there's always, ALWAYS, some sort of theme or life lesson that's learned by the end of the episode. By the end of it, I want to say top 3, but definitely top 5 favorite anime for sure. I'd be SHOCKED if it's not in ur top 5 by the end of it. There's stuff in Gintama that'll hit you more than some one piece moments. Remember, there's a reason why King Recon can't choose between one piece and Gintama as his favorite

Ali Abd al-Nur

When finished - everyone say"gintama is a masterpiece" but This is truly hard to judge. because gintama is using some hypnotic trick on people - story is really simple and short to execute. its 80% comedy, just endgame episodes run actual story. And because the very last of it is ultra good, ppl always say its the best show ever when they finish it. Noone thinks about it as a whole series, when they got to the "story part". I bet my life on that you will say something like its your top 2 right after finishing it, but will move it a little down when you cool-down.

Busta Riggz

I can guarantee it will be gintama. Don't get me wrong, both are amazing however knowing what you like in an anime specifically, you will like gintama more in the end easily. Its a no brainer.

Ali Abd al-Nur

Tears are bad example! 🤣 Jojo just lack sad soundtrack, remember Khan tears spawned in random fairygoat moments whenerver sad music was on the track and moment wasnt even sad. You can just see how he is involved into gintama more, no need to look for examples.

Duke

I get the gintama points, but I have never seen anyone take the change in style from part 2 to part 3 as well as khan. With how much khan is enjoying part 3 I would be surprised if he didn't think jojo was goated after part 7. Although some things in jojo might be a bit too much for him.

scott

Jojo = Silly fun Gintama = Actual masterpiece

Re Shin

The thing is, some people talk about JoJo's as if the series ended with part 6. They definitely don't know what awaits them in part 7 and beyond. Which will shock them to the core

Duke

I do not think it is fair to assume that people didn't read past part 6. You can still prefer gintama even after reading part 7, but I do agree that part 7 is very good.

Maxer

Apologies for the long ass message, but since you may read this on a video, I figured I’d elaborate more when I said “Gintama can be your top 5” which I said as a somewhat conservative statement. I think at some point you’ll be like “I get it dudes, I get the hype now”. Perhaps you already feel that way to a certain degree. I don’t think Gintama would be my favorite anime if it was 60 episodes, or 100. It earned its way to the top for me, and each one of those 367 episodes contributed a lot. Each episode you get connected to the characters more, like the Shinsengumi, Katsura, Odd Jobs (Kagura, Shinpachi and of course Gintoki). I think the reason you even wanted to do Gintama on your own will was because of the things you’ve heard, certain hype and respect put on the show, people you know recommending it to you — all for good reason and I’m sure you’re able to get even a little bit of that from this early in the series. Again, if it wasnt as long as it was, I’m not sure if I’d rate it as highly. It just builds itself, develops the cast and story beautifully, and then just blossoms perfectly. But in all stages of the story, even before it “blossoms” (or reaches its climax/peak) it is truly beautiful throughout. Enjoying the early episodes means you will undoubtedly enjoy the later ones, but if you’re unable to enjoy the early ones then the chances this becomes someones top 3 animes is probably super slim. Appreciating the whole story in its entirety is a good sign, and its why I do believe this can be a top 3-5 anime for you. An anime based on a likable main character who may be even relatable to many. A cast of characters that are genuinely amazing, I know full well how much you love the Shinsengumi, Gin, Katsura, Kondo, Madao and even Takasugi and many others. The comedy builds the connection, while the serious arcs & plot strengthens it even further and makes you want the best for those characters you end up loving. Its truly a special anime. I havent seen Jojos so I cant comment on it much, but since it is shorter relative to Gintama, you will get more of the story and plot faster. You’re probably through jojos about 40-50%, and you’re barely 16% into Gintama. Comparing %s can be pointless, but each %, one by one gradually increases the depth of the story and connections to the characters in Gintama. When you get those later 50%, 70, 80, 90, 100%, you’ll understand why we call it GOATAMAAAA YO! You’ve been loving it so far, and it makes me happy because I’ve seen countless reactions to the show but nobody has more passion when it comes to reactions than you Khan, so seeing the man who I’ve watched since I was younger genuinely enjoy my favorite show is indescribable. Literally watched so many shows with you, new ones that I never dared to get into myself, Hajime no Ippo (a top 5 for me) and Vinland Saga (top 4) you completely introduced me to. Naruto my 2nd favorite (watched alongside you). Attack on Titan being my 3rd favorite (you havent enjoyed it as much I think, correct me if im wrong but thats fine because as long as you enjoy Gintama I could never be dissatisfied). Its been a ride but theres so much left to watch, unravel and enjoy from Gintama, that feeling of not wanting it to end 60 eps in is real (trust me I completely understand 😂). Khan, thank you for giving Gintama a chance! Its been a dream coming true, genuinely thank you❤️

Pepe

Lol cant tell atm, we'll see!

Maxer

Thing is with Gintama, its very rewatchable. For me, the rewatch was better than the first watch in many ways. So there never was a cool-down for me and for many other people that I've talked to in regards to this show, because it somehow can be enjoyed even better on the rewatch. I think its because you just end up loving the characters so much at the end, so rewatching lets you view those characters in a different light, in a different way, its magical. That being said I think Khan would feel the same way, because Gintama is one of the most rewatchable animes out there

Re Shin

I know what you mean fam, and it's definitely a choice, but what I'm saying is that some people really started treating the series like this after part 6, and that's why I said "some" because like yo said some people read the manga after part 6 and they prefer other series to it, of course, and at the end of the day, there is something called taste, and people have different tastes and you can't really force your own opinion on them, but I just don't like it when someone talks about a series and gives their own opinion about it without even watching it as some do, or just treat it as if it ended after part 6 and as if there are no other parts after it, why don't you just wait and see what the future holds for it if you're going to stay anime only and then say what you think about it in the end of the road?.. Sorry for the long message friend. I just want to make my point of view clear on the matter

Re Shin

I think the most majority of Jojo anime only fans will say Gintama for obvious reasons, but let me tell you this as a manga reader, Jojo with each part develops and becomes absolutely better in every aspects especially when we talk about the story & character writing, and i think you have already notice a glimpse of that with the third part so far, so with that in mind, let me say this fact. Almost everything that you and the majority of Jojo's anime only fans think you'll know about the series is about to change completely starting from part 7 and beyond, not only in the storytelling aspect Jojo's will get way better but like in every other aspect to the absolute next degree. I know it sounds unbelievable what I'm saying right now, but trust in me my brotherman when i say that. The difference between the first 6 parts of Jojo's and what's coming next is like telling you'll the different between Naruto and Naruto Shippuden and that's not even a fair comparison for Jojo’s to begin with. So after saying all dat i well say by the end of Jojo part 6 i can definitely see yo preferring Gintama over Jojo, judging by your taste and preference in terms of story and such, ofc i wouldn't be upset about that at all if it happened because after all it's one of the greats, and it didn't make it to my top 5 list and stayed there after all this time for no reason it's just gotad.. but i genuinely think for multiple reasons that i simply cannot mention, that by the end of part 7 and what comes after. There's a great chance that JoJo will be the best to yo overall when we reach the highest peak of this one bizarre noting like masterpiece of a journey

scott

Exactly, watching with Khan is my 4th watchthrough of Gintama

Re Shin

YO can't spit out more FACTS than THAT 💯

Mzpro2

Ngl it's hard to say who's better at this point cuz i really enjoyed both... but i would go jojo slightly above gintama here for me. For me gintama is mostly comedy while the end of the anime is serious 100% story business which is amazing and i teared up like many others... but i felt like the repeated jokes kinda killed the mood in certain episodes when i just want to move on to the next. While jojo i feel each episode in every part did managed to completely stays on point and never stretch the episodes like one piece or rush it like bleach tybw. now if we compare each anime in my opinion i would say it like this: Jojo part 7 > gintama end game > jojo part 1-6 > gintama but that's like 1 point each from a 100 cuz one of them or both actually? yeah i bet both gonna be at your list of top 5. peace out my dude!! no matter what you react we're all enjoying this ride and we can't wait to see more of either gintama or jojo.

Anansi_Rafa

the people who are saying Jojo is "turn off your brain and enjoy" cannot have watched or read beyond part 3

StarPlatinum

They're both goated, Gintama is easier to get attached to since it's the same characters for the whole show and has an overarching core story, whereas Jojo you get a new roster and storyline with every part. Even though a Jojo part is a lot shorter, you still get attached to characters, since it's more densely packed with action compared to Gintama which deviates a lot to random events and slow episodes that do not progress the main storyline. It's hard to say. You're definitely spoiled lol, you're gonna look back on this as one of the sweetest parts of your Anime life for sure. You'll laugh and cry and scream a lot watching both shows, but if I had to bet I'd bet on you enjoying Gintama more. Could go either way tbh

iba

Joboooojo 100%, and it's not even close. You've been loving every part so far, and it just keeps getting better! Also, JoJo is so random and different compared to Gintama. Even with the whole Pakistan and India episodes, they incorporate real life elements really well. Gintama, in my humble opinion, doesn't offer much you haven't already seen before, but there's a reason it's rated so highly by anime fans. At the end of the day, it comes down to which one you're enjoying the most by the end of it. JOBOOOJO YO!!

Gintaman

No disrespect to my JoBros, but if in your eyes Gintama and Jojo are of similar quality right now, consider that Gintama has FAR better arcs coming up. You haven't reached either series' peaks, but you've gotten much closer to Jojo's imo. It's like if you were only grading Jojo's off of Part 1.

Zaj

For you, it'll be Gintama. Maybe for me too. One of the most emotionally hitting stories ever. Gintama is better than anything the Jojo anime has adapted so far at least. Jojo might only be competing with Part 7-8 adapted. And I don't think the anime will be as good as the manga for that.

Jumboregent

should do quads for both next week just to figure it out yoho

Ali Abd al-Nur

I mean, Goatama is really solid show, but endgame episodes always make you say "its my top1 now" and after that hype you cool-down and it goes down the ranks. Me and 2 friends of mine had same feelings right after ending the show

MrChelseaDan

Both are goated so toss of a coin really. Gintama is my fav so I’m biased, but Jojo is fire too

Takamura

Jojo imo, but I should honestly watch past episode 5 of Gintama to give a fair answer

Maxer

It all depends on the person of course

NANA

Berserk

Baker

I think you'll probably enjoy both equally for different reasons. Jojo can be emotional and make you cry but in a soap opera sense, there's a lot of exaggeration and energy behind it which helps fuel that. It has better fights but that being said I think Gintama's emotional moments feel more "honest" if that's the correct word to use. It takes your attachment to the characters built up over the comedic and serious arcs and gives you a rawer feeling. With that said I chose Gintama, it feels more akin to the rawer emotional storytelling that you enjoy the most when it breaks into that. Jojo is emotional sure, but it's built upon a chaotic energy exclusive to itself that fuels that. Both are fantastic anime though worthy of being in anyone's top list

Lilipat

Gintama for sureeeee, Jojo probably winning the polls because there’s more Jojo fans than gintama fans based on the likes on the respective videos 💀 way more attachment to gintama characters personally since we see the crew from the start

Offshore Bread (Jrock)

Gintama has so many peak storylines , characters and jokes scattered throughout its entire runtime not to mention the amount of content (multiple stories) you get in each episode. I genuinely think gintama will be the one you choose after completing both.

Nash_Eugene

Jabojo is just something else man. It shines in a different way in comparison to other anime. Also Im having the time of my life watching your reactions. Whatever you choose its fine man! :)

john

"JoJo is so random and different compared to Gintama" "Gintama, in my humble opinion, doesn't offer much you haven't already seen before" Have you even seen Gintama? Literally those statements make zero sense having seen all of Gintama. Gintama is the most unique and random anime out of any anime out there, it's not even a question. I really don't understand why people make opinions like this when they clearly don't even know what they're talking about. Even 5 months later Gintama has already been far more "random" than Jojo has been

john

If your opinion on an anime is based on the latest episodes you have seen, then clearly your opinion isn't very trustworthy
