Think anyone would have allowed this to happen, if it means what we’re getting right now more consistently.

Only part that sucks is Jan to March no One Piece.

One piece anime right now is everything a one piece fan can ask for.

They have been doing close to 1:1 for Egghead. Sometimes they did slighly more, sometimes slightly less, but on average it's very close to 1:1. Seems like starting next year they'll want to adapt exactly 1:1, so no variation.

As someone who loves watching every week with my wife, this is horrific news. It basically means less episodes, but the pacing will be exactly the same? We already have 1 episode = 1 chapter

They seem to be going seasonal with the anime, it's not just bigger breaks between the episodes. This is the most likely setup from now until they change it again: *year starts* Winter Season: break Spring Season: 13 eps starting April Summer Season: break Fall Season: 13 eps starting October *year ends*

A few bits of extra info came out: The episodes will be released in two cours of 13 episodes each (one in the first half of the year, one in the second half). And Toei said “AT LEAST one chapter per episode”, so it could be more. Guess we’ll see in March.
