I highly recommend you to go back and check chapter 66 about what Ouki said about strategical vs instinctual generals. Kesha is not the first instinctual general we saw in the manga. The first one is Duke Hyou that's what he's known for and also what general Ouki described him to be instinctual type of general. Strategical generals find it hard to deal with instinctual general because their movements don't rely on reasoning and strategy and that's why Riboku said he find hard for himself to deal with the duke and since Kesha is instinctual type of general, he can somehow understand the duke because they both rely on instinct in the battle

The reason they're doing it by force is because none of the states want to come to an agreement and they all want to be on top so yeah they'll have to battle it out. So Qin will have to force them to surrender and rule over them all. Will be interesting to see how it happens!

Yeah they all speak the same language but dont wanna bow down to each other. Unified china might have more peace but to get to that goal its a bloodbath so really not an easy choice to make....

Most people, including me, would say it's a greater arc than bayou just because of the sheer scale of this war where 5 states are all battling instead of just 2 in bayou and how the stakes are much higher for Qin, so I'll be surprised too if u dont like it more haha.

Isn't that a spoiler I'm pretty sure the king did not mention his method of unifying China yet and go into the details of his plan. It's kind of obvious but nevertheless ....

I always thought unifying chinq wouldnt necessary mean conquer, what do you think of when u hear unify, like unite right? But yh in a way its kind of expected a war story, no state is gonna wanna unite with qin, especially with whata happening now

When I hear unify, I think that the whole Chinese continent (all 7 states) has one king that oversees everything. As of now that leader doesn't exist and all states have different kings. So I'm just assuming that would mean they'll have to conquer everything because after all, it's the warring states era where you'll only have your way through warfare. But there is a chance that some state/s might just voluntarily want Qin as their leader because they want peace and approve of Sei as the King of China, so maybe Qin won't have to battle it out with them? That's the only other scenario I can imagine

It's the only logical path in the warring era and it's been heavily implied, for example when Ouki says it will be a thorny path or when Renpa says it will be a feat that will require a frightful level of martial might and bloodshed. Wouldn't be surprised if it's been outright stated. You think they're all going to come to an agreement without any pressure from Qin? Actually I just remembered, it was Shouheikuns (Qins leading strategist) plan to checkmate all the other states was revealed in this video (chapter 270) where they'd capture all the strongholds one by one after conquering Sanyou.
