This episode was trash Edit: It doesnt matter that they adapted the entire chapter. The chapter was mostly fighting so this one chapter is not equivalent in amount of material to your One Piece usual chapter. I dont know why I'm being gaslit to believe that I'm a hater. Just saying it for how it is. Luffy's attacks against Kaido should not have been as long it waa even if the manga had 3 pages of it does not justify the monstrosity we got, anyone who believes otherwise should rewatch the episode. One Piece can be good even when a full chapter is not fully adapted, they do the padding right and add filler somewhere in the episode, but here? They literally extended a fighting sequence making it from hype to just repeitive. Once again, 3 pages of this does not justify the insane duration we ended up getting. It is what it is. But I'm sure we'll end up getting better episodes again. I'm happy if others enjoyed the episode, but that is what I wanted to say because I felt dissapointed. Edit: Adapting a full chapter is not the sole indicator for whether an episode will have good pacing. Episodes 1015 and 1017 were amazing, it does not matter whether they adapted the entire chapter or not, the storyboarding was executed perfectly. The problem I had with this episode is something that I will not reiterate but rather I implore you read my comment again. The manga counterpart to an episode with bad pacing will always be better because there is NO incentive for it to be stretched. Whereas the anime episode would need to be stretched. I'm not sure if you are baiting me to say the manga did it better, but yes the manga obviously did it better because there is no feeling anywhere throughout the chapter that it is being drawn out. That much is obvious.

"Drake the rat"...lmao it's not his fault xD anyway if you remember the world government was doing business with doflamingo who was doing business with kaido and orochi...now that the middleman doflamingo got taken out, world government directly went to orochi and kaido...hence when orochi first appeared in anime, we saw him negotiating with cp0 and now they're in kaido's banquet in fact, drake was the one concerned with their presence in wano and that's what he was telling to Coby...that the world government was not only in a place which is outside of their jurisdiction, but they're also trading with pirates Drake and Coby are part of "Sword" which acts against cp0

bruh ignore them, if they think this episode is trash, i have no clue how they managed to watch 1018 episodes of this...this was one of the more decent/good ones not to boot for once they covered an entire chapter...except for 1015 and 1017 i don't even remember the last time they adapted a full chapter

You could say that for 1016 and 1017 together covered 2 full chapters, because 1016 covered 90% of chapter 1001 and 1017 covered the rest of 1001 and the full chapter 1002

bruh just few episodes ago, marco used his hybrid form and if that was not clear, ulti and page one used their hybrid forms throughout the arc (ulti in the beginning of the raid and page one in act 2)

They covered the full chapter. If it covers a full chapter, the episode can only win because of voice acting, colours and music which a chapter can't have. These points makes the anime always superior to the manga. The only case when the manga can be better is if they only cover way less than a full chapter

@Dominic because that's how it's translated in English. VIZ translated it as Human-Beast Form which is no different from "Man-Beast Form" Hybrid was we fans calling that.. If you translate the Japanese (人獣型 ) directly word for word it says -->Human/Man Beast Form

Saying that the anime is just a way to advertise the manga is extremely disrespectful for everyone who works their ass of at Toei to adapt it. Also, it's straight up wrong. I prefer the manga as well, but you really need to come up with some better arguments.
