Content

Hello everyone!

First off, thank you all so much for your continued support. It means the world to me that I can do what I love with the help of all of you here.

Secondly, you may have heard about Wizards of the Coast backing down over the OGL. The community has won, with OGL 1.0a remaining untouched, and the entire SRD being released under the Creative Commons license.

Now, onto my main point.

With the OGL remaining in place, our position as a third-party publisher remains secure. We can keep doing it for as long as we want. That being said, I'm curious if that's really the kind of content you want to see from Lunch Break Heroes.

One year of adventures

Our first adventure released in January of 2022. Here we are a year later with twelve published adventures, and a few held in reserve. My overarching goal with those adventures was to publish a book this year, which we're well on our way to doing with the upcoming Librus Nocturnum Kickstarter.

But it's hard to gauge interest and engagement with these adventures, especially on Patreon. The engagement analytics here are pretty abysmal--I literally can't tell how many patrons have downloaded the adventures.

Off of the Patreon platform, sales of the adventures are poor-to-middling. Sales on DriveThruRPG are abysmal. On my website, lunchbreakheroes.com, sales were okay: 865 copies sold for a gross sales of $1,905.99 during the entire year. While not terrible, that's less than I make from a single Patreon release!

So I'm here to ask you, dear patrons, about what you want to see. Do you want to continue seeing adventures, or shall I focus my efforts elsewhere?

I personally really like your adventures! I think it would be cool if you created some for higher level characters, but they are so cool! But I want to support you in all that you do! I think covering other domains of dread would be awesome, but I’m aware you did that before lol

FWIW, found you through the adventures and subbed due to my perception of their quality - both in writing/design and Foundry setup.

I have always loved your story-telling and adventures! I especially loved your ideas on CoS and I’ve also ran one of your originals — the group loved it. I’m a fan and will continue to support your quality work.
