November 2025 – Behind-the-scenes update (Patreon)

Hiya patrons! Firstly, I'd like to thank each and every one of you for your continued vote of confidence by remaining a member of my Patreon! I can't emphasise how much each donation helps, both financially and moral-supportedly (is that even a word?)

In any case, here's your behind-the-scenes update for November 2025!

Democracies II.

As I previously stated in my last update post, I'm currently working on another video on virtual democracies that would act as a sequel to my first documentary on the topic.

I've collected a lot of stories from a variety of virtual democracies (way too many to fit into one video), and I've decided to use some of them as case studies to discuss topics I hadn't discussed in my first documentary (e.g., foreign affairs).

While it's a shame that I've had to (once again) axe potential chapters from my final script, that is just the nature of writing—you've got to "kill your darlings."

My hope is I'd be able to share some of these other stories either in future videos or Patreon posts, so there's always that to look forward to!

Habbo Roman Empire.

In case you've missed it, I released a one-hour documentary on the Habbo Roman Empire, an adaptation of my long-read article I published on Patreon! Thank you to everyone who has sent kind messages and comments in response to it!

While I'm glad that people have expressed enjoyment for these more autobiographical videos, I'm pretty sure the nature of them is cementing a particular reputation of my online persona ...

A few months ago, I was approached by a viewer who asked for my permission to use my "Trolligarch" persona for a fiction novel (which I gave without restrictions).

That novel was pitched as a psychological thriller about a "self-proclaimed trickster ... using his psychological expertise to prey on vulnerable men."

...

Now, granted, that "trickster" was a different character—but I'm pretty sure my self-exposed exploits on Habbo Hotel and other platforms aren't really giving people other ideas on how they should portray a fictional me :P
