Hi Everyone,

Summer project time!  I am planning to revamp some elements of TheDuchy over the course of the summer, in preparation for offering an App version (more on that later).

So this is an open question to you:  If I am overhauling the site, what would you see improved?  What has been bothering you about how it works?  What features would you like to see added?  How do we get better, easier to use, more useful, etc.?

So just reply in the comments with your ideas.   If someone has already added an idea that you would like to see, click the Like button to show your support.  I will let this go for a week and then collate the answers.  Then we'll do a vote for the most popular improvements and go from there!

I very much look forward to hearing your ideas!

Best,

Lazarus

Improve the picture viewer so it is easier to move between pictures once you have clicked to zoom in

Offer another alternative for payment in addition to Patreon

Rick Romano

Patreon sucks. Enough that I am wondering if I'm going to continue. I love your content but what a headache when you just want to read what's going on. So, is there a way of getting out of Patreon? That would be my suggestion.

Rather than level lessons, it would be really nice to have categorical divisions like, “Single Column Ties”, “Chest Harnesses”, “Hip Harness”, “Rope Finishings”, “Suspension Specific”, “Knots”, etc. Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced seem more like sub-categories to me.

Fargrace Ero’Sennin

It would also be cool to have lessons where you had a string of concepts. For example, single column tie, chest harness, arm nerve areas, box tie...

Brian Crombie

Tutorials of the “basics”. I have come across several walk-throughs that skip over the initial stages which forced me to research elsewhere. Help a newbie out :)

Maybe implement a log-in system with accounts, you can link either patreon or paypal to the accounts? This could help with payment methods.

Eric

Anything that improves the login would be great. Patreon makes it a huge pain in the ass.

Jeffrey Yu

If I could filter using multiple tags (e.g. both difficulty and topic), that would make sorting tutorials much easier. This would also facilitate multiple categories as suggested earlier.

Jonathan

It would be nice if there was an easy way to pause, rewind and forward the videos. More content is definitely needed. Thank you

Niclas

A working "stay logged in" functionality. Each time I visit your page, I have to fight with patreons login process^^

Niclas

More knots like/based on the "Chain Stitch Single Column" . It's very smart to unknot with only one pull. Would be great to have a larger variety of this kind of knots.

Philippe Robin

More chest harness for suspensions and where to attach the lines to them.

Henk Schuemie

Maybe add tags like chapters in the videos that correspond with the different steps of the tutorial so one could easily backtrack or skip true the steps. Keep it up! Thnx

How to adapt ties for self bondage and self suspension!!

Thomas Rivera

Maybe a voting system for tags, so most regularly suggested community tags get added to an article or tutorial. Let the community help out with indexing

I know that last year with a medium internet connection I had big troubles with the performance of the website and especially the loading times. With my current connection I don't have any problems, so I'm not sure if you fixed it already. If not you might want to have a look at it.

In addition to stopping the maze that is Patreon login, something that helps your login persist. I will view the lesson and go thru it in my head but by the time a couple of hours pass and my bottom gets here, I've got to log back in and go thru the maze again.

One thing, and I'm rolling my own eyes, is the grammar and typos within some of the lessons. It may be inconsequential in the short-term, but proofreading and proper punctuation denote the level of professionalism perceived by the consumer (i.e. us, your patrons and potential patrons). The site works great for my purposes. I like the videos, the step-by-step instructions with pictures are great and the image quality is superb. Can't wait to see what you do next.

The picture guides are of huge help to me. I can't stand video tutorials. I have to watch and rewatch every step. With pictures that is so much easier. I wouldn't include direct links in the advanced tuts. You want people to know these knots by heart before they even try in this section. ->More content rather than a new look

Whipitdevo

I'm surprised I haven't seen this yet, but a button during the videos too jump back 30 Seconds would be HUGE. If I'm tying while watching it's a total pain to pause and then try to move the slider back just a little. I went up all over the place.

I'd like to see a small sandbox for each knot that indicates how much rope is needed. That's helpful for newbies.
