As you want to do edible flower can i ask for Violets ? Maybe a violet ice cream?

Alyssa Nagel

What about a maple harvestable and a pecan harvestable? Maple pecan fudge is to die for

icemunmun

Can it be eaten with Injera ? I am making Injera and can definitely make Gomen along with it.

I would like to vote for dandelions for edible flowers. They may be considered more of a weed, but I think dandelions would look quite pretty. Also cantaloupes for harvestables to go with the honeydew. A melon salad of watermelon, honeydew and cantaloupe would be cute. Petit Fours could come in pastel colors, as well as French Macarons. They could be in various fruit flavors or chocolate or vanilla, as you already make cocoa and vanilla bean harvestable, as well as the common pistachio flavor.

I love all the ideas! i definitely want to do a lot of it! I had been also thinking of flower nectars like dandelion wine/nectar

phantomness

Those both sound amazing! I love the idea of flower nectars as well, singly and in combination with other herbs, flowers and fruit, or honey!

My dad grew up in Ethiopia and still makes his favorites in the States, if you have any questions about the food I'd be happy to pass them along

icemunmun

Oh cool! I may have questions when I am making them! I have plans to make Injera, Gomen and Doro Wat initially and then maybe make more stuff later! One question I have now is what type of flour can be used to make Injera ?

Alyssa Nagel

Teff flour, my dad tried to make it with wheat flour once and it came out like a giant sourdough pancake

What about chrysanthemums or jasmine as other flowers? Chrysanthemum and jasmine tea are both popular. I have also seen marigold and rose wine. Hibiscus tea and wine also both exist.

icemunmun

Yep...ultimately I will be doing those. Especially marigold and jasmine because they are very common flowers here
