gameblogger

Pastas, pizzas, burgers, cereals etc.

Desiree Williams

Maybe they mean more regular snacks and foods? Like popcorn, candy, crackers, noodles, ravioli, spaghetti, lasagna, cereal...I'm just throwing out suggestions. Feel free to use any and thank you for what you provide.

Anna Garcia

Maybe different types of steak, baked Mac and cheese, different typical Italian pastas, country fried steak, salads, simple common Chinese food like beef/chicken/shrimp fried rice, moo goo gai pan, orange chicken, sesame chicken, Mexican food like enchiladas, street tacos, American tacos, fajitas, quesadillas, tostadas, taco salad, different types of stews, club sandwich maybe. I'm trying to think of things but I just woke up lol you may have already made some of these so my mistake if you have, just trying to think of American "regular food"

Jeanna Hicks

I agree with pasta dishes. Steak, more breakfast dishes such as omelets. That's all I can think of right at the moment. I enjoy all your dishes. I wish I knew how to cook them for real!

Guenievre Reine

Croque-Monsieur, hot dog, gratin de légumes, bruschetta, chèvre chaud, parmentier de poisson, voilà quelques idées, merci à toi

acrm0425

Something Tex-mex would be cool! So like enchiladas, burritos, tacos could be awesome in the game :p

Christiane Feit

Regular food in the fall and winter here in Germany would include lentil soup with carrots, all sorts of bean soups and stews with lots of meat or sausages, roast with potatos and red cabbage, sauerbraten aka marinated pot roast with red wine and raisins and, of course, everything mushroom :-) Omlette with mushroom, mushroom ragout, mushroom soup with lots of onions and cream (she said as she grabbed her basket to run right back to the woods to harvest some more :-) )

Kiara H

I'm not sure what would be considered regular Western food when it's a melting pot and you've already made a lot of western foods. For me regular food is soul food and korean cuisine. You just made chicken wings and that's as regular as you can get. Maybe more soups and stews since fall is here:chicken noodle, bean and ham, chicken and rice, beef stew. Pot pies, if you didn't make those already and chicken and dumplings. I know you made strawberry popyarts, maybe more flavors of poptarts like cookies n cream or s'mores. I dont remember if you did these or not but yams, baked mac n cheese, and sweet potato pie. I personally would like to see different types of ramen and stuffed squash/pumpkin. That's all I can think of right now.

Perfect Cyan

Maybe some microwave meals or more quick meals. Or even some MREs. I guess that food can be microwaved, since the animation for pouring water isn’t base game (at least I don’t remember it being bg).

Sims Ilikesims

We have adopted and changed a lot of cultural foods. Fortune cookies, tacos made with lettuce, cheese, and tomato, chili fries, loaded stuffed baked potatoes with butter and chives and cheese and bacon bits. Chili and BBQ are also very big in some areas here. Lots of sweets here and junk food - potato chips, Oreos/sandwich cookies, girl scout mint cookies, peanut butter cups, almost everything that is chocolate, peanut butter or deep fried. If you can fix your jambalaya dish, that would also be great. Salads are big here too. We have Greek salads with vinegar and oil dressing containing feta cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, and olives. Hamburgers and veggie burgers are big here too, as are most noodles and sandwiches in general. Soups are big here too, especially chicken noodle, tomato, and chowders.

Sims Ilikesims

Just thought of some more: lamb steak or roasted lamb with mint jelly, vegetable soup, roast beef, corned beef and cabbage, nachos (tortilla corn chips with cheese, salsa, and meat), sour candies, miso soup, curry with tofu. Also, pumpkin spice latte drinks are big in fall. Smoothies are also big here, though I think they started adding those to the official game. Herbal teas are big here too. Almost everything fruit related is common here, whether it be fruit candy, fruit salad, or pancakes with fruit in them (usually bananas or blueberries).

Kayla

Hmmm...maybe steak and shrimp, seafood boil, instant ramen, goulash, sloppy joes, and salmon croquettes! These are some ideas that came to mind. :)

JoMcWan

Macaroni and cheese

JoMcWan

Hot dogs, corn dogs, waffles, pancakes, french toast, mozarella sticks,

Amber Burleson

This post is making me feel like I need to try lots of new foods!

Mystic Topaz Rings

You can make salmon croquettes with the cupcake factory.

Tiffany Bartrum

So depends on where on this side of the west. You've got the south which would consist of collard greens, mash potatoes, corn bread, stuffing, fried chicken, smothered pork chops, county fried steak. Out in the west part of the US you have more health meals; green shakes, kale salads, actually, I'll comment more when I'm at my PC because I can give you a pure list of different things from different regions of the US.

Mystic Topaz Rings

Cobb Salad, Potato Salad, Macaroni(pasta) Salad, Club Sandwich, Pulled Pork Sandwich, Sub Sandwiches.

Gamerm0m

With a high school pack now I think it would be fun to have sandwich rings and party-length subs for those teen gatherings. Maybe some fun fruit trays and veggie trays. My family eats many skillet meals, which can be anything from South American to Thai.

Rachel King

fried pickles ... corny dogs ... biscuits with gravy .. buttermilk pie.. peach cobbler and blackberry too

Mugiwara La

I love the work you already do tbh! If you want to try more foods maybe dinner type meals too that can create a real family meal atmosphere. like a rice, meat and veggie meal. a breakfast sampler with eggs, sausage and pancakes may be good too. more things that are a "balanced meal" would be cool.

enfantdunord

that's such an american thing to say, wow. it's like saying everyone else has an accent but them.

Rants With Jordan

Salmon, American breakfast (scrambled eggs, pancakes, waffles, bacon, breakfast sausage, hashbrowns, grits etc) Baked chicken, casseroles, baked mac and cheese, chicken and tuna salad, pasta salad, fried fish, green beans, chili, red beans and rice, fried chicken, cold cut sandwiches. This is a lot but this is what I thought of off the top of my head

Briannah Merkerson

more african american food like fish and sphagetti, baked salmon, baked mac & cheese, sweet potatoes , pulled pork , seafood boils, and basic american brand produces ( rice , potatoes , pasta side dishes with meat and whatever vegetable).

Sim4TV

Baked Mac and Cheese, Patty Melts, Cheese Steaks, French Toast, Biscuits with different toppings: Jelly, Honey, Gravy. Shrimp and Grits, Fish and Grits, Po Boys…

GeorgiaMommyPeach

Meatloaf, hotdogs and bean, fried chicken, pulled pork, biscuits and gravy (breakfast), hamburgers, pork chops, steaks....

Chemaine M. Maxwell

I would love to see variety of cold cereals and hot cereal like Oatmeal’s.

Boum

Maybe your lasagna could get a little refresh as your creation skills have evolved so much since. Some others pastas and sandwiches could be good too, I imagine. But sincerely, I’m rarely eat "regular food" so… ;)

Alyssa Engelman

New England Foods! Clam chowder, lobster (in itself there's a ton of dishes like lobster rolls and lobster mac n cheeese), peanut butter & fluff, loaded baaked potatoes, maple candies, broccoli & cheddar soup, and new york style pizza and raspberry cheesecake!

Carmen Simpson

Mediterranean (mostly Greek) food is what I eat even though I'm Cuban. You like what you like, lol. So, Wedding Soup, Spanakopita, Baklava, Kourabiedes, Chicken Orzo Soup, Galaktoboureko, Dolmas, Rizogalo, Loukoumades, Lamb Souvlaki. I'm thinking this probably isn't what they meant by "normal" but it's what I think is normal (for me). They probably meant American food, mid-western to be precise.

Carmen Simpson

"Normal" food for Mid-Westerners would be stuff like corn dogs, casseroles (goodness they love their hot dishes out there ... casseroles with tater tots on top), Pierogi, gooey butter cake, Runzas (kind of like pasties), toasted ravioli, buckeyes, deep dish pizza, fried cheese curds. I just realized that they really don't eat a ton of healthy food. Guess you need it for those frigid winters.

Coralynn Brewer

Lasagne variation's maybe vegetarian lasagne, chicken Lasagne, Beef Lasagne , maybe you already have this in your recipe's.

Coralynn Brewer

I love making this one now and again is the Beef Stroganoff, instead of your normal pasta you serve it with I have spaghetti and Zucchini noodles. The spaghetti you could have as a brown rice & quinoa type of pasta.

Coralynn Brewer

Regular food Hmmm well in Australia we would normally have meat [beef, pork, lamb] like the old steak and three veg, or salad and chips, fresh seafood, I think the No. 1 dish is the Chicken Parmigiana. Burgers and chips and of course sausages and Onions with gravy with veges.

tiana marie

shrimps, pasta , shrimp/chicken Alfredo, noodles, cheese fries, crab legs , seafood boil etc

Hillary Mullins

meatloaf, pot roast, anything that you would make for a regular dinner. I would love some salads on plates or different bowls since the ea bowls look ridiculous. I would love some soul food like fried chicken

Dawn Star

I grew up with things like meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans, pork chops, fried potatoes and corn or fish, peas and macaroni and cheese. The basic formula was meat, starch, vegetable. I'm not sure if that's what people were looking for though.

May Bittle

pub food! Fish and Chips. hand pies.

Stephanie Pettway

Different submarine sandwiches like cheesesteaks, Italian, Meatball etc., loaded nachos like beef, chicken, steak, and different pastas like shrimp, chicken, Italian sausage & linguini, fettuccine, penne etc

Angela

I grew up in the SE of the US. Collard greens, corn bread, ox tails, potato salad, pot roast, mash potatoes. Although we did eat a lot of Asian foods and other ethnic foods. My family loved to try new foods.

A

Potato salad, macaroni salad, coleslaw, pasta salad, different hot dogs with different toppings.

Alex

I'd love more Indian dishes. Maybe we could have a "regular food" food tour of the world?

Cyanide MGs Creations

For a sweet regular treat - Sticky toffee pudding, with ice cream on top. :D

Anne Fleischer

From my two backrounds some all day food. Germany: Schnitzel, Königsberger Klopse (meatballs in white sauce with capers), Labskaus (Corned beef, pickles, red beet and a sort off canned fish with a sunny side up egg on top, classic sailors food. Than of course the Schnitzel, also Bratkartoffel (pan fried potatoes with bacon) and bockwurst with potatoe salad. Russia: Piroggen (dough filled with either meat or white cabbage or carrots or the sort and than fried), wareniki (dough filled with berries, cooked and served with a form of sour cream), wenigred (a salad that is pink due to the red beet in it), pelimeni(dough filled with meat and cooked), Plombir Ice-cream, Pletschende,Cake Napoleon (very sweet), solyanka (a sort of left over soup with pickles)

Alissa

there already is crab legs! but the seafood boil sounds fire

GlitrOfDoom

There aren't a lot of universal "regular" foods. "Regular" depends on where you live like you said. I think a poll based on different regions/countries would be easier to pinpoint what type of recipes people are requesting. Hopefully that would be easier than getting a bunch of separated suggestions.

Spencer

I am from the NE section of the US. BBQ ribs, lobster mac-n-cheese, chicken and dumplings, mozzarella sticks, pot roast, potato au gratin, string bean casserole, stuffing, baked beans, sweet potato casserole, stuffed shells, garlic crusted shrimp and meatball parmesan

Me Xoxo

Yeah, no string bean casserole please!!! But Spaghetti and Meatballs, and the others that Spencer mentioned above, would be cool, but I'm honestly trying to get some more Middle Eastern, African, Indian, and Japanese foods like Teriyaki salmon, beef, chicken, etc.

Lizzie S.

Ooo... I'm in the mood for apple pie, apple turnovers, and applesauce (maybe a canning recipe), pumpkin pie, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin bread. American fall comfort foods. Clam chowder is also a NE fave. I think someone mentioned sweet potato casserole above. Other suggestions: tater tots, BBQ meatballs, sub sandwiches with cold cuts (deli meats), corn on the cob, nachos, veggies and dip, chips and dip, fruit tray with cream cheese dip, cheese sticks (like hot mozzarella sticks or cold cheese snack sticks). Honestly, I love anything you make!

Shadowkeeper

I'm from Southern California "regular food" could be any number of things. My family was from the "South" (Alabama, Georgia) so fried chicken, smothered steak, catfish and hush puppies, fried okra, greens, and blackeye peas are all things we ate. This week we've made pasta marinara with salad, birria tacos, peri peri chicken, kung pao chicken, salad with chicken, tomorrow we're making currywurst and spaetzle.

BellaLily

Breakfast Sandwiches like sausage bacon or ham with egg and cheese. bagel and hash brown bites. Lunch Subs like steak and cheese meatball or italian

Arianna Atkinson

Like everyone said, 'normal food' is subjective. I would love to see more 'low effort' meals like cold sandwiches and salads, maybe more grill based foods too! Like grilled shrimp, grilled zucchini etc. This that can slap together and eat on the spot

Tiffany Edmonds

hash browns for breakfast if you can, please!

Miss Faye

psh @ the people who don't realize how rude they're being by asking such a thing

Miss Faye

I want more of the food that brings YOU and your family joy whenever you eat it, especially desserts <3

SP

Brazen Lotus mod has a seafood boil.

SP

Lenaid's cupboard mod & Grannies cookbook mod have those foods.

SP

I've never come across home fries, bacon/sausage egg & cheese, fried pork chops/chuletas & pastelone.

Robin

I would honestly love to see some Bengali food tbh

Hannah Burdorf

I would honestly download anything that you make. I love being able to have diverse sims and food that is just as diverse. It’s also a great learning experience for me as a White American whose only exposure to cultural food has been the Americanized version. I’d love to see some Italian dishes like stuffed shells, gnocchi, pasta with pesto, pizelles, Italian wedding soup, etc.

icemunmun

All of those are my favourite cuisines!

icemunmun

yes I want to do some cuisine specific food soon!

icemunmun

That is a great idea and something I have been wanting to do!

icemunmun

We eat the same basic things though its more like protein, starch and veggies. The protein can be fish, meat , eggs or lentils

icemunmun

Ooo..that seems perfect for November /December/Christmas!

icemunmun

I need to do a month for cereals!

icemunmun

I have made collards, cornbread and mashed potatoes. Will look up the others!

RainySulani

I would love regular Bengali food if there are dishes you want to make and haven't made already. ^^ Honestly, what regular food is differs so much from person to person that I think whoever requested it needs to ask for something more specific.

Jaiel

cheese steaks, hoagies, stromboli, stuffed salmon, stuff chicken breast, stuffed pasta, blue shell crabs. just a few reg foods.

icemunmun

I would love to make Bengali food!

Bull

Great suggestions! Would love Maryland blue crabs, crab legs, oysters, and other stuff I would buy from the Wharf.... And that cheesesteak sounds good too lol

Antonia Penaloza

can i suggest making foods from different cultures for a few months. Haitian food and hispanic foods such as rice and beans (haitians have so many types of rice and beans) as well as ceviche and stewed meats as well a fried plantains. Also i would love to see more Asian foods that are compatible with the chopsticks as well

icemunmun

This is what I will end up doing!

Bull

This might not be “regular” but how about Ox tail stew or over rice, pig feet, smoked Turkey necks with wild rice, and maybe chitterlings?

Denise Curtis

chicken and noodles/ mashed potatoes,,,BBQ ribs/corn on cob...poor boy omelets ( cheese omelet with fried potatoes smothered in sausage gravy)

Veariess

2026-09-08 03:00 1. I will download anything and everything you make 2. Maybe do a different culture each month? Regular is so different to everyone! I love trying new food and I like my Sims to do the same :)

shayna

meatballs :)

shayna

meatloaf, lobster roll, seafood boil/low country boil, blackened seafood pasta. I love diving into new cultures, maybe more Japanese/greek/French food would be fun!

Mendota Kelly

Still hoping for a green bean casserole.

icemunmun

That is something I want to do! I love making stuff from different cuisines!

GabbiGacha!

chicken noodle soup would be nice. Maybe with a positive benefit when they eat it while sick.

icemunmun

Yeah that will be part of the soupmaker

mousie mika

Pasties! A midwest classic

Mama P Sims

As a vegan, I'd love some battered cauliflower/cauliflower "chikin" wings

nisha

Maybe go "gourmet" with a type of food such as rice and then add types like Carolina Gold rice or sweet rice. Or creating a way to add spices to boost a dish, i.e. adding turmeric to rice makes it yellow and gives your Sim a health boost or adding seaweed gives hydration to a mermaid. You would need to make a rice cooker to really make sense but it works with your food aesthetic. If not that, the game does lack flavors for protein shakes for athletic Sims.

nisha

Let me add between you and Littlbowbub I feel most "regular" foods are covered. After skimming the replies, I agree a world tour of foods would work best. Keep doing what you are doing. :) My assumption is the person/people requesting "regular" food are looking for things missed in the game like kool-aid, flavored iced tea or snow cones. On the other hand, "exotic" foods like octopus, snails, or pate has an audience too. It is a big range to figure it out. A world tour would suss this out for you. :)

Sarah Li

thai food, sushi,

Wennsday

I would LOVE to see more Indian food in game. Mutton, Chicken, Fish, Veg dishes served with rice and/or bread!

helene912

I would LOVE to see more European Food in game. Like: Matjes: particularly mild herring processed before reaching sexual maturity, matured in a brine by the fish's own enzymes in the traditional process. The original production process was developed in the Netherlands in the Middle Ages. It is registered as "Dutch Maties" as a traditional specialty guaranteed. Or: Pork knuckle (Bavarian), pickled herrings, or, my favorite: LABSKAUS: Labskaus: Potato dish with beef and beet, eaten in northern Germany, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, in Germany often with a fried egg on top. Besides the beef and beetroot, leftover food from the week is mixed in, so the traditional Labskaus day is Friday!

Shando

Some foods I grew up eating in the upper midwestern US: tater tot hotdish, cheesy potato casserole, roast beef with root vegetables and celery, whole roast chicken, marshmallow jello salad, green bean casserole, boiled corn on the cob, wild rice soup, pan-fried walleye, potato pancakes (these are savory and often garnished with chives and sour cream),

A. R Smith

Matzoh ball soup is an eternal good comfort food - sadly didn't have any grandma to make it for me so I learned to do it myself. Cream of wheat (farina) with milk and apples to make a sort of porridge, and steel cut oats with milk and apples are also a humble but regular breakfast or lunch for me. Clam chowder, pepper-and-dill on salmon or cod with lemon served on a mix of sauteed crimini mushrooms and spinach with garlic are a nice dinner if you like seafood. Garlic-ginger shrimp soup (with chopped napa cabbage and leek!) served over udon noodles was something I used to make in an Instant pot back when I lived with an aunt a few years ago - made the stock myself with scallions, garlic, shrimp shells, and a little oyster sauce. My favourite "regular" food would be beef stew with Irish soda bread (called that as it uses baking soda) using a recipe my family brought over to America from my great-grandfather. Any food you make is absolutely regular food, and everyone in the comments is making me curious to add more to my IRL recipe collection!
