Machinarium...what atmosphere...what an art style...what a world...and what a game.

Since it had been such a long time since I had played it, I decided truly it best to go back and play through it all! Outside using a guide twice (just to know where items were to solve a puzzle, rather than actually solve a puzzle) I had a splendid time. Though as a result of being half way through the demake, and then replaying the game I did encounter something I typically wrestle with.

I do not think I did the original games art justice.

I say this not in attempt to garner sympathy, or to imply adapting Machinarium's artstyle to a 160x144 resolution with 4 colour greyscale cannot be done. I say this because there is truly still much to learn and improve, and maybe I can get closer one day.

Other than that, really do dig the whole choice to have Josef/the main character only interact with things directly in their field of reach. A little annoying sometimes when you THINK you're close enough and then have to scoot on more but still, just has this level of realism and means all the puzzles feel very tangible and logical.

Overall a game I think would actually port quite well to the Game Boy!
