Right off the bat I think I pretty much committed to demaking the remake of Mario VS Donkey Kong, because really, the idea of the redemake is an odd and fun one.

I will say whilst I did a decent job at shrinking down the Mario sprite from doodle to finished, I do need to push myself to get down to 16x16 sprites eventually, because it is a skill one needs to hone.

Another element I don't think I really nailed in the finished one is that depth o' field platform style some platformers use, where you see a bit of the top of a platform. To be honest I'm kind of trained to avoid it because nothing reads better in a platformer than a perfect flat side but I think it being used for a platformer a boss sits on, or for just variety has a lot of merit. Like it's used now and then in Kirby's Adventure on NES, and truly, can Kirby's Adventure on NES be wrong?

Kirby's Adventure on NES doesn't think so.
