Slot your Game Boy into that Ring Con, it's time to go on a Ring Fit Adventure! I hope your body is ready!

( Unsure what the heckin' hell Ringfit is? Check out this Stop Skeletons From Fighting's video on it -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VP3jBVLrHbA !)

You know....this might just be my most current demake! The only other one I can think of would be Hollow Knight as a close second. I've been playing Ring Fit for nearly 2 months now and if (keyword being if) you can get your hands on one I highly recommend it.

The team who made Ring Fit should be patting themselves on their meaty backs with their muscular hands for making such a top notch game that really is equal measure game (JRPG in this case) and fitness tool!

Last time I said I should really think about changing my name to GameboyColordemakes and oh was I thinking that again this time around. Not only would the GBC really have been helpful for quickly letting players know what..well..colour an enemy was, the GBC even had an infra-red sensor on top which who knows, maybe could have also been used like the one on the joycons to measure your BPM!

But still, without colour to lean on, this really made me think about how to visually design things. The big one was opting to drop one of the four types of exercise (Yoga/green) and have the remaking three types have different shape iconography. Not anything major, but I think this would have helped players!

Yoo I love Ring Fit and these made me so happy when I saw them on tumblr! You translated everything so well into the Gameboy style. (Man though, just imagining trying to hook a Gameboy to a Ring Con... would it also have a leg strap?! What a tripping hazard!)

Aww thank you! And ahh the Ringfit love is so strong it's so great! I was ecstatic when they released the free update with the jogging and rhythm game section. (Super hope they release song packs!) So glad to hear you say I captured it well in GB form! It was such a fun challenge without the use of colour! Another great thing was truly learning new things about the game, I didn't know but the main menu screen cycles through the time of the day based on your real world clock! What lengths they went to for setting the mood, and such detail! And haha indeed, just thinking what this would have looked like at the time, just wires and wires!
