If there is one word that could summarise my thoughts through the entire demake of Blinx, it'd be...torn. It truly had all the elements I admire, a fun and crazy world, a cute kitty as the main character, it had pig enemies and time controlling mechanics and yet somehow it didn't quite slot together.

I oddly had a lot more fun with Balan Wonderworld much to the chagrin of many I assume! But still, I found things I could latch onto. I'm always a sucker for a shop screen and Blinx delivered that in spades. I wish there had been some more enemy types but the ones it had were at least very fun to sprite (though that little slimy type provided to be the trickiest!)

If there was something I missed out on capturing from Blinx it'd probably be a toss up between showing the actual time mechanics, showing one of the bosses or just incorporating the time attack design nature of the game.

Perhaps it could be said that some things get lost during portslation/translation, not just in terms of colour and change of visuals, and not just in the obvious like losing a dimension (or two in blinx's case) but sometimes some core feature or spirit.

All in all one can only hope to exchange it for something new entirely! Food for thought indeed, will carry this mentality going forward in big ways!
