Here's a screenshot of a Tweet by the radio station who interviewed me yesterday. The guy on my right found out about me because he loves horror and was reading Joe Hill's Locke and Key. When he saw that Joe had been nominated for a Bram Stoker Award last year, then saw my name also on the list of nominees, and that I was living in Japan (a very short train ride away) he reached out via Twitter and we've become friends.

He's been a gem and a half, and he knows so much about local freaky stories, legends, myth, and what have you. An absolute wealth of information!

One of my ideas for the podcast (and also something written) has always been to gather local weird and creepy tales and get them heard. I really hope we can make that come true this year. Maybe travel around locally, research, and collect stories then publish them in some format. Podcasting about them with the binaural mics while at the site (temple, shrine...) would also be quite fun.

So that's what I've been up to. In the newspaper two weeks ago, radio today. We're trying to gather some buzz and find a Japanese publisher who would be interested in translating the book.

I'm also working on postcards (tengu!) and envelopes and just read the classic "Miminashi Hoichi" ("Hoichi the Earless"). I think I'm going to give it to you Patrons first, later put it out as a podcast, then give you another story also this month.

Okay, loads to do before work. XO to you all and remember if you would like a sticker and haven't gotten one, send me your address and I'll get that in the mail. All my Patrons can get stickers!
