Hey hey, Everyone!

First, thank you so much for filling out the poll! Uncanny Japan's two-year anniversary is coming up it the end of January, and I want to do a kind of revamp, re-shine, relaunch of the Patreon page. My (and Rich's) last day of work is coming up soon, and I really want to make a go at (as much as possible) eking out a living by writing, podcasting, and storytelling. I know I'm not there yet, so we're both excited about the wee little school. But as for this, for recording, and trying new and creative things, Richard and I have so many ideas we've been bouncing back and forth. I'll write a separate post on some of those, run them by you and see what you think.

I got the envelopes sent out early this week, so they should be arriving soon. I'm putting up the Bedtime Story right now, and next I just need to work on the postcards.

Much more to say, but I wanted to get the Bedtime Story up as soon as possible.

Lots of updates coming soon, XOXO!

Great story. I've always liked Tanuki. One of my favorite films is Pompoko. I kept thinking that this is how Tanuki and people behaved with each other before the modern era (somewhat to a lot) changed this. It is a fantasy of mine to live in a time and place where this sort of relationship seems imaginable (but maybe without so much of the shogunate authoritarianism).

Oh, Jeffrey, that is exactly the world I live in (in my head) when I write! I also fantasize and make up stories about a world (either past or present) where people and various mythical creatures live together. Thinking the dynamics of the relationships and the culture that grows from that fascinates me endlessly! You gave me an idea for another Bedtime Story to read. A lot of my stories touch on this, there's one in particular I'm going to re-read and see if it might do well for a story here.

Well I'm sure that's why I was/am attracted to your stories and the topics you bring up on your podcasts. I'm happy I could help possibly bring a story forth.
