I'm writing a little horror story that is set at his little beach. It's been so long since I've written words that aren't a translation, retelling, or ai fiddling-around-with, that I'm finding it difficult. Took a morning to revisit and get re-inspired.

Below is the cliff.

Some more of it, rockier.

Lots of barbwire and do not enter, but still somehow a fisherman got past this and was standing out there for an hour so fishing.

I'll make another post with a loop of waves I took by setting the binaural mics on the sand right up next to the water. Richard made it loopable, if you'd like. I usually listen to books when I can't sleep. But I think I might actually try this this time.

Also:

* Postcards went out (the ones I could send, still having trouble getting anything to anywhere in Europe...but I'm saving them, sticking them in an envelope and checking every time I'm out whether or not they'll take them or not).

* Bedtime Story coming soon, probably around the same time as the next podcast episode. I'm going to try doing a fairy tale (better known) in both Japanese and in English. I'll put two version of the BS up, though. One with both Japanese and English and one with English only. I'm curious about thoughts on that.

Okay, off to put up the waves in a different post as I can't do both here. Stay well, hang in there, XO,

terrie

Oooo I’m so curious as to why these parts of the beach are all blocked off 😀😀

Uncanny Japan -- Thersa Matsuura

Rogue ocean kappa? Naw, I think because this is the only beach with a row of tetrapods some ways from the shore to keep it safe, it is super popular with families and kids. It's a sheer drop off on all sides so probably safety. Probably a lot of accidents in the past.
