Hello there~

Okay, I'm putting up "Cicada, Water and Chill," the summer vibes mp3 that I mentioned on the last episode. It's basically some cicada and trickling brook sounds Richard and I recorded that I handed to Julyan and asked him to add something relaxing, meditative, possibly sleep inducing. I don't know about you, but anxiety is high on my end. This is exactly how he returned it to me. Richard said to ask him to remix it with his music parts a little louder. What do you think? I can't tell. In headphones, I turn it up and the cicada kind of becomes white noise and I only hear the trickling water and the slow outer-spacey music.

If you think it should be remixed, I can ask him to do that an put up another version. I don't think it would be problem for him.

If you like this kind of thing (I kind of do, actually), I can ask him to do more. Next time, fall, with crickets. Ocean waves...etc.

XO,

I LOVE soundscapes like this! I fall asleep to one every night! Thank you for this! Would love to hear more!

Boss Wilks

This was lovely - it's what finally sent me off to sleep after hours of insomnia last night. Personally I think the music levels were perfect, they enhanced the nature sounds without overpowering them.

This is amazing! I really cherish this soundscape and I think the producer is truly gifted. I would love to hear more of these.

You know I love a soundscape, especially a seasonal outdoor one! This is super calming and reassuring, thank you! 🙌🏼

I love it! Really relaxing. But for someone not used to the Cicada sounds, I have to say they drown out most of the rest for me. Unfortunately, the white noise effect didn't kick in so far. 🥲 so I would love to hear a tennis where the Cicada are a bit tuned down/more in the background. It's entirely possible that this is a problem with my speakers being not good enough, too. Unfortunately, I don't have surround sound speakers.

Uncanny Japan -- Thersa Matsuura

Yeah, definitely both a personal preference but also speakers are sooo different. Richard listens to things on different speakers and we're always surprised at sounds we thought were too loud on one become inaudible on another. Incredible difference. Next time I can ask Julyan to mix two versions, one with the music a little louder, one with the background a little louder. 👍

Personally I think the balance between the binaural sounds and the added music is perfect 👌🏼 this is a lovely sound clip, thank you!
