Bedtime Story for August: Gonzō Mushi / The Gonzō Bug (Patreon)

Now this was interesting!   I found this story in the Okayama Prefecture volume of my old tales book and translated it, etc. But when I was just now looking around, I discovered that it's called "GonZA Mushi" in Kyūshū! Same story!

Crazy.

Some stills of the tale.

"No, boy!"

What does this strange bearded man want?

What the???

And here is what a real Gonzō Mushi looks like.

And an old children's book cover.

Sweet dreams, XO,
